Isle of man TT is awesomeness!!
This is just pure awesomeness

Im just realizing after watching tons of TT coverage that this requires such a high level of skill, that i could not even dare to find myself at least a bit brave on a bike

I knows.
I think we all did. Great video though, thanks for the link.
I used to work at a motorcycle shop that sponsored a F2 sidecar team that went to the TT. The poor passenger was hanging his backside out of the outfit as they were in a 130mph bend, his backside hit a stone wall and he was thrown into the front of a house, hit the wall and ended up in the garden next door, he pronounced dead for 3 mins.

Luckily he made a near full recovery but never raced again due to problems with his back and legs. At least he survived, he was one of the lucky ones.
Quote from ChiliFan :The only thing braver than racing at the IoM TT is doing the Ulster GP in the rain, with some 20 other competitors around you:

Nah, Dundrod is quite a slow track (they used to race cars there back in the 50's don't'cha'know)

Hows about wheel to wheel action at 195 down little country lanes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bibjoepk8DQ at the NorthWest 200. Or do a search for the Irish road racing championships

Mind you, if anyone can find a high quality vid of a full bore lap of the IOM TT, then please feel free to post it and lets educate these youngsters on what real bravery, talent, and more than a touch of insanity is.
Of course, the NW200 is incredible as well. I've got an onboard from 1997 on my YouTube channel, they're close enough to touch on the straights!

I think somewhere I have an onboard with Steve Hislop's RC45 at the IoM, from 1994. Might be on YouTube too, worth a look.
North West 200 is where I live. Got a photo of myself and Fogarty from around 1994/95 iirc. Remember being in Terry Rymer's garage when he came in after his brakes failed braking for Metropole, he was still as white as a ghost :O. But yea the bravery those guys possess is just superb.

Quote from ChiliFan :Little known fact: The rider is Agustin Escobar, it's the 1997 Aprilia RS250 Cup at Jarama, and he went on to win the race!

Well full marks to him for dedication, wow.
Personally, having been a bike rider and having been on a track in just a fun non competitive way, I have the utmost respect for motorcycle racers. They've all got a bit of a screw loose IMO, and the ones that do the road circuits are just plain nuts !! I certainly couldn't do it in a million years, not even in my more brazen youth - let alone now!
