Quote from rockclan :No it aint.
Because IF there would only come the 8 people like you say.
You know what money stays over for the organisators? € 1,67 in total.
So now shut it, and go spam somewhere else!

i said in my opinion
thats my opinion not urs, so i dont care about how much u get from it
Unbelievable!

We have a new attendee that has payed.
And you won't believe it, but it's truth.
It's our German: Niggo !
I wouldn't say 20€is much, you get a place for your pc, electricity, free water I guess.
:P
go for it, they had a nice LAN here in Sweden last year.

BREAKING NEWS:

The creators of the TrackMania games will be giving away free TrackMania United Forever licenses to the winners of the TrackMania Nations competition!
We now have an official sponsor!!!
The TR&F Lan Party 2009 is over.
It was a great succes even though there where only 7 people.

It started with the Live For Speed S2 compo.
At the first race it was Camaro with a big lead and he took the win.
At the second race with Formula V8 around Chicane Route it seemed that everyone except for me failed.
I put the whole field on a lap in a 6 lap race, except for DutchieJR.
The other races it was a close fight between me and DutchieJR.
Because DutchieJR took pole position and set the fastest lap in almost every race, he went home with the 31cm big trophy for the compo.

Then it was time for the TrackMania Nations Forever compo.
There where 3 Time-Attack's at 2 Time-Attack tracks and 1 Race track.
At the first time attack I won easily from everyone else with at least 2 seconds in front of the 2nd position.
The second one was at the race track, it was a continous change of the 1st position, at the end Camaro/Niggo claimed the 1st position.
Then it was exciting, 4 guys making a chance at the trophy, DutchieJR, Camaro, Sm1ley and me.
When the last time-attack started I directly took 1st position.
That time would stay for a long time, but about 7 minutes before the end it was first Sm1ley to improve my time.
With just a few seconds to go we thought it was clear that Sm1ley has won this round and by doing that won the trophy.
But in literly the LATEST second, DutchieJR crossed the finish line, took 1st position with 0.05 of a second, and beat Sm1ley with 1 point.
So the second trophy also for Team Rock Racing's own DutchieJR, this trophy was 21cm big and has blue wings.

Then we had our dinner, and a longer break, Lord/Christel did some designing at the new Team Rock Racing website which we hope to release at new year, I went for a cigarette, whilst others where playing Live For Speed, or Prototype.

After the break it was time for the Call of Duty 4 compo.
Sadly the 2 used library PC's seemed to fail at running CoD4.
This meant that Lord and Camaro, where not able to attend in this compo.
Directly when the first round started someone started to own everyone to death.
You know who, yes yet again, DutchieJR.
After some time Suspicious started to fight back, but in the end of the first round it was a 25 points (5 kills) difference.
Then there was the second and final round...
DutchieJR started by owning everyone with a very big lead, and many kills in row.
Then there came DutchieJR's helicopter which pownzored everyone in the game.
After it was finally destroyed I had taken over second position in the standings.
And DutchieJR had an advance of over 100 points.
With only 3 minutes to go it was clear that yet again DutchieJR had won.
This time taking home a 20cm big trophy with red on it.

Then we quickly had to do the Live For Speed Banger compo after it to be able to finish that compo.
At the first race it was a easy win for me, around the TR&F Chicane Way Layout.
The second race at the figure of 8 it was a close fight between me and Camaro, but at around 3 laps before the end DutchieJR gave Camaro a pretty hard hit, and I could easily win the race yet again.
The third race at the TR&F Banger Oval Layout was an easy race for me.
I put the whole field on a lap, and set the fastest lap time.
At this time it was already known that I had won this compo.
But ofcourse we did the last race, at the tricky TR&F Doom Layout.
Not many people finished this race, but I had a strong lead from start to finish.
I got to take home a very nice trophy in the shape of a helmet with finish flag and a coronet.

After this compo the breaking up started.
At 22:00 local time the Lan Party was officialy finished...
After checking everyone's opinions it came clear that everyone simply loved it.
I have also enjoyed it really much as an organisor and we are sure of another Lan Party next year.
This one will probably be at another location with longer length though.

I hope you have enjoyed the review at the event.
Attached is a photo of the small group of players we had.

Thanks for reading.

the LAN was really awesome :headbang: , i can't wait for next year!
Train travel was nearly without problems.
Soo nice that i could compete so good (as a keyboard-driver), and won atleast 2 races. I had really nice head-to-head fights :fence3d:.

DutchieJR really Pwned us all (well, not in bangers)
but: It's all about the fun, not the prizes

We all laughed a lot and communication (dutch/german/english) worked quite well ... [IMO].

Hope to see you again very soon, Walter (and also Christel :nod (and every1 else [lmao]).

greetings from Germany,
Nicholas aka Camaro aka Niggo
