Need help with accessing my old hdd files
Right as title says i need a little help from you computer gurus.

So my problem is,that my windows just died on a hdd 2 months ago,and becoz i had lots of importatnt files on it,i just bought a new hdd and installed windows on it.Since then,it wont let me access my files i need from the old hdd documents ans settings/administrator/documents. i need files from it,but it asks for administrator name and password,if i put type them in and it just wont do anything or gives an error(in totalcommander) So i am asking if any of you had the same problem before,or knows any solution. i would be very greatfull, thanks!
So basically you'd want to hack into the folder.

Have you tried an "all users>your old username>documents", or another way to the same place?

As long as you're admin on your new install, I can't see how it'd not let you.

If you turn on private files, or whatever the setting is called when setting up a user account if you reinstall Windows the new install will not be able to access the files as it doesn't have the key for the data. It is a security feature.

If I recall there are some programs which bypass the privacy settings, but I couldn't tell you any of their names, purely because I can't remember any.
