I tried something last night I hadn't done before, but called it quits after I finished LOL!
Played a bit of Far Lands or Bust.
Walk one direction and just keep going. Tons to look at, it's certainly really cool. I walked for three minecraft days. At night you just dig a small fox hole, put a bed down and sleep.
I decided to call it quits when my game save file came up to be 40+ mb

Yeah I never got into DnB. I was more into just plain electronic (trance) at the time with lyrics. Even today I'd say the same, there are better songs now though without lyrics than there used to be for sure.

From what a few guys have been able to tell; it doesn't change the AFR really.. if any at all. It is mostly changing the timing maps as far as people have been able to notice, but even then.. 10hp to the wheels? Still seems like a shitload to be just timing.
I don't know; tuning and stuff like that is beyond my knowledge by far.
Yeah we have other (full tune) options which are just piggybacks but.. that is a full tune, meaning you pay a lot of money for the box, more money for someone to wire it, and even more money to run it on a dyno and have some guy put in some digits.. lol, not an option for me really, especially for something such as a Mazda 3, not even a speed lol.

If you know anything about how an engine works, you should know that changing a little computer chip will not give you that much power. Some, yes, but not that much.
I'm amazed how much I can feel my Hypertech, it pulls so damn hard in 2nd gear, I get quite a bit of torque steer which is something I haven't experienced in my car before, it's quite radical.

but it is there because I got them for $25 (with ballasts and everything) and they match my halos.. which I actually turned on today in like a few months haha.. I usually run halos during dusk and it isn't quite dark enough to use headlights.

No I made a huge open area for them to spawn, even looked at the slime chunk spawner map to see where I could get them to show up and no luck.
Thus I downloaded MCEdit to get sticky pistons because there was no way I would ever find slime balls LOL
the first slime I saw I guess I killed it with to much damage? I dunno but it didn't drop a slime ball, I was not happy!

I still am against the idea of an SDK package or an "extension" of LFS or anything of the sorts.
That concept has been beaten to death plenty of times and always comes back to the issue of quality control and wrongful doing.

LFS has hackers right now as it is, making that public.. I am fully against, and always will be. (against in the sense of it being public. let modders do what they want, interesting things usually come from there, and shutting that down entirely is usually not a good thing)

Things that S14 brought up is the problem nowadays, because people like me, who don't have the time money or interest to shove money down the drain pipe can't play games like iRacing and other pay per month kinda deals.
I understand the benefits to that system and they seem to be working really well, as far as updates, interesting things happening with the community etc.
The LFS Devs just aren't getting any money input like those huge businesses are. And I'm not saying it's because the iRacing guys are getting money all the time, BUT, that certainly helps when some high man in the business says hey I want a change.. oh hey we have the money to hire someone for a bit to program or model or whatever so we will.
LFS isn't getting any income, does it bother the devs? I don't know, but I don't think it does either. Not in the sense they don't need money (we all do), but in the sense that we all know they like to do things their way, and we all wouldn't be here if they weren't like that. If I had to pay every month to have an LFS.exe icon in a folder, it wouldn't have been there... probably ever actually.
As of now I still just say it's a failing of marketing, and updates.
If the devs want to see a huge improvement, make a major announcement, and market the HELL out of the game.

Another thing he did that is quite impressive (I will never be able to do what he has done lol not fair!) is.. he and a group of friends threw out an advertisement in the newspaper one day for a small tire company. It was all the money he and his friends had. Go big or go bust.
One advertisement. A few friends. A small shop.
It's now known as National Tire & Battery; aka NTB.
Thus.. my word to the devs. If you want to see a huge increase in positive motion from.. everything and everyone, make a big announcement. Market it with all the free website we have on the internet (mainly twitter and facebook), and go for it.
If it's a lack of funding.. do what Turn10 (Forza team) does for Xbox. Charge a few bucks for new content. I think I put $100 into Forza 3 with extra cars and tracks along with the game (STUPID.. but I did it).
Charge people $5 for Rockingham and the Sirocco.. people will pay.

Tight knit crew. They've known each other for so long. They know how to communicate, and work efficiently. So It makes perfect sense as to why they haven't grown out of their.. trifecta

Well I also have my tv; but .. at any rate, any monitor (not a cheapo one, a brand name at least) will beat out my 5 year old laptop's CCFL powered LCD screen.
@Bose, Photoshop CS4+ have GPU options; which I cannot use because of my ATi card. After effects also has issues with my ATi card and comes up with random warnings and issues which.. for whatever reason can only be traced back to my graphics card for whatever reason.
Really $800 is my tower budget; if I can fit a monitor in there also, awesome, if not, no big deal.
I just don't want to cheap out on something.. which seems kind of silly that I'm asking this question to begin with lol.

I do however play minecraft and that is oddly hard on CPU core and graphics cards.

Hard drive space is pretty cheap now, I'm not that interested in SSD really, as my current 160gb 5400rpm hard drive is still plenty fast for me despite .. having under 20gb open space (I have been pushing and deleting everything I can to keep it around 20gb free)
Graphics card.. well shit, I'm on a laptop here. A desktop from 8 years ago would beat this thing. However Adobe and ATi seem to hate each other, so I'm aiming for an Nvidia card
CPU.. I've always used Intels, haven't heard anything negative on AMDs (not that I have many computer nerd friends these days) in a long time (10 years ago +), so either or.
I believe the obvious solution to Windows is 64 bit. Everything I use as far as Adobe products is 64 bit compatible so that is no problem
Most important part is.. I don't want to spend over $800 (including a 22" monitor)
In short.. I need:

The graphics imo still aren't bad, I am still quite happy with them. It's just small detail in models and textures that have a bigger impact.. and post processing and color stuff.. things you can do with your graphics card or photoshop to make you happy.
It's things like the FZR that are slightly annoying.. there has been more than plenty of time to make the interior up for that car. And the other R models for that. Or really any of the untouched interiors.
The GTi, GTiR.. still.. hands down the most gorgeous interiors for the game. Why aren't the others up to those.. how many years down the road?
but I suppose at this point I am complaining. But it has been a very.. very.. very long time.
I will say one thing positive.
From playing the demo and buying this game back when I was in middle school, all through high school, and all through college. I am more than glad the project did not die, as that would be entirely displeasing, especially after.. being part of this community for almost half of my life.
Plenty of other games have come and gone between those times. Very few of which I can play for a few minutes and still be happy with.
