I'm usually not into these types of games, more of a sports guy, but I never looked back since dishing out some cash for it. It is frustrating but it's just the right amount of frustration to make you keep coming back while telling yourself "this time I'll do it differently" just to fail the exact same way you did the past 10 times.

Well, as mentioned I think I'm bottlenecking on my gtx260 at higher fps rates. It's a pretty old piece of tech by now.

edit: you could try turning off hyperthreading in the bios matrixi, just to check if you get better results then, I've read that some games do not like hyperthreading at all.

Pretty sure in my case it has to do with the gtx260 that is bottlenecking. Your sandybridge is also doing turbo for one core to 3.7ghz I would imagine. Not sure why matrixi doesn't have more fps though, looks like quite a monster setup.

It was just about to get wet, it wasn't raining long enough for the rain to stay on track. PSN back up was just a short hickup, but I call it a night way to long of a session already. Was great fun those GT500 with sport soft is really something, can't get enough of these.

You can't expect a full blown simulator, but it's fun for some casual driving. Be sure to turn off all the aids before you go on the track!

I'll start the server now, if you feel like it join us. Will post the address in a second

I'm getting:

Error

Invalid form data: memory size.

Pretty sure I've got my graphics card and system memory correct, any clues on what's going on?

edit: fixed, thanks vic

If there's some people interested I would be up for it, what about some Le Mans racing since we had the 24 hours just some days ago?

Quote from BlueFlame :Dumas should get the sack fo' sho. The guy made the same mistake twice, at the same corner.

Second time it was Gene not Dumas...

Quote from deggis :The logo can be easily detected by the automatic content matching system so unlisted video status doesn't help anyway.

ACO has even used themselves Mattzel's caps in some videos.

Well, I thought if I unlist it it will still count as private copy (which is legal here in Switzerland), but it's all grey area anyway. To your other question, you got an rfm account? I guess I could upload it there.

Quote from PMD9409 :So lovely, why you make unlisted?

I'm a sissy. Guess it's less likely I will get into trouble if I keep it unlisted, you are free to repost it of course.

drivers seem to be the same so that shouldn't be the problem, did you install them according to the manual?

You could try and use googles (or opendns') free dns servers and see if it works then.

Google DNS:

8.8.4.4

Just fiddling a bit with mono and airio but I ran into a problem I can't seem to get solved:

If I run airio via mono with the root user it works just fine, as soon as I do "su lfs" to get to the dedicated user which runs all the lfs programs I get:

Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at LiveForSpeed.InSim.Airio.Airio.Main () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

when I try to run the exact same command and I can't figure out why. Anybody got a clue?

edit: well I suspected that it is some permission thing already but didn't figure out that the log.txt file was owned by root instead of the user lfs, now it seems to be working.

You should really think about not allowing custom view, I remember the official LFS autocross competition and there it was disallowed too for fairness sake.

Quote from theirishnoob :i5 2500k, 8 gig ram, decent psu ( 700+w ) 7xxx ati or similar Nvidia + case and aybe a small SSD..

do yo have any parts to carry over ?

700w psu? Unless he wants to power his vacuum cleaner with it too that is seriously overkill. You rather get a premium psu with max 500w which will still be too much for the parts suggested.
