I'm usually not into these types of games, more of a sports guy, but I never looked back since dishing out some cash for it. It is frustrating but it's just the right amount of frustration to make you keep coming back while telling yourself "this time I'll do it differently" just to fail the exact same way you did the past 10 times.
Well, as mentioned I think I'm bottlenecking on my gtx260 at higher fps rates. It's a pretty old piece of tech by now.
edit: you could try turning off hyperthreading in the bios matrixi, just to check if you get better results then, I've read that some games do not like hyperthreading at all.
Pretty sure in my case it has to do with the gtx260 that is bottlenecking. Your sandybridge is also doing turbo for one core to 3.7ghz I would imagine. Not sure why matrixi doesn't have more fps though, looks like quite a monster setup.
It was just about to get wet, it wasn't raining long enough for the rain to stay on track. PSN back up was just a short hickup, but I call it a night way to long of a session already. Was great fun those GT500 with sport soft is really something, can't get enough of these.
Well, I thought if I unlist it it will still count as private copy (which is legal here in Switzerland), but it's all grey area anyway. To your other question, you got an rfm account? I guess I could upload it there.
Just fiddling a bit with mono and airio but I ran into a problem I can't seem to get solved:
If I run airio via mono with the root user it works just fine, as soon as I do "su lfs" to get to the dedicated user which runs all the lfs programs I get:
Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at LiveForSpeed.InSim.Airio.Airio.Main () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
when I try to run the exact same command and I can't figure out why. Anybody got a clue?
edit: well I suspected that it is some permission thing already but didn't figure out that the log.txt file was owned by root instead of the user lfs, now it seems to be working.
You should really think about not allowing custom view, I remember the official LFS autocross competition and there it was disallowed too for fairness sake.
700w psu? Unless he wants to power his vacuum cleaner with it too that is seriously overkill. You rather get a premium psu with max 500w which will still be too much for the parts suggested.
