Quote from THE WIZARD DK :perhaps also let AI´s drive on very windy conditions aswell

They actually can drive when there's high wind. Start the race with no/low wind and then type /wind 2. After that, restart race and they will race with high wind enabled.
Allow us to change our AI's F11-F12 settings
tankslacno

So here's a thing; when viewing our local AI's driving on single player and multiplayer, we can see that their F11 and F12 windows are displayed on a same way than they would be normally displayed for the player itself. We can see how much brake balance our AI has on some cars, how much our local AI will refuel when making a pit stop etc.

But the problem is that we can't change those values displayed in those boxes. It should be allowed to change our local AI's F11 and F12-settings on both single player and multiplayer. I know, it may not sound useful, but there are actually a lot of situations where I can find this feature really useful. For example:
- Perhaps I would like to see, how many laps those R3-tires will last when my AI is driving after that AI just tested R2-tires. Or I chose wrong tires for my own AI at the start of race. With this feature, I could fix that mistake immediately by changing pit strategy to change tire type to something else and then forcing that AI to make a pit stop.

- At the moment, this situation is possible and has happened before: Race lasts several hours and AI pits on a penultimate lap. What that AI will do, refuels all the way to 100% instead of refueling about 5% for that last lap! There's no point to refuel that much when there's one lap remaining! With this feature, this problem would be fixed.

- AI has only taken a slight damage and I would like to make that it will not fix that damage when pitting

- And: Player could test different pit strategies for (future Endurance-)events without having to drive itself! What if player's wheel is broken and (s)he will get that wheel fixed/new wheel just before that event starts? This feature would make player's situation at least somewhat less stressful.

I could go on and on about situations, where this feature would be really useful.

And one thing that is currently annoying, when viewing those two windows when my local AI is driving, you can clearly see that the first changeable setting on those windows is highlighted on a different color, hinting that since I can change my own pit strategy by simply holding shift and pressing left/right arrow, I could do that same thing for my local AI. But it's not possible.

I'm not saying that default/current values what AI uses (repairs damage, change tires when worn out 30% or more etc.) are bad and I actually think those should be default values for AI's. What I'm saying is that we should have a chance on (qualifying/)race to change those values whenever we want.

I don't see any reason why we can't do this. This should be really easy thing for developers to do and it wouldn't even take much time. And, it wouldn't cause any harm for any player! (Okay, maybe for that player who orders AI to refuel not enough fuel resulting that AI running out of fuel on next lap Big grin.)
Two possible bugs on LFS.net

Hi,

I've noticed two possible bugs on this site:

1) When viewing cars on https://www.lfs.net/cars/[car abbrevation] (ex. https://www.lfs.net/cars/UFR), taking screenshots works only when using Firefox. I've tried to use Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but when I press that screenshot-icon, it only returns a new blank tab. When using Firefox, there are no problems.

I've attached two screenshots about this.

2) When viewing LFS Forum, there's a blank league without any text. It's placed above all other leagues. Is this done on purpose or not? Attached a screenshot about this.

Week 36 Events:
No events. Why? Because that other person, who could access to that server's computer directly has been taken to health care. Since he is staying there for this week and next week, no races are possible. Sorry for this Frown

(What about events on week 37? I'm unsure at the moment. If that other person gets released before the (week)end of that week, we will held those three races. Stay tuned for more information on next week)

Doesn't look good, server is offline and I can't connect to that server's computer, where I could put that server back online. And that other person who could put those servers back online (as he can access that computer directly, not remotely) is unavailable for few days. Which means that it's extremely likely that this event will be cancelled. Sorry Frown

Race itself is normal. However:
- Points for this event are doubled:
-- 1st place: 50 points
-- 2nd place: 40 points
-- 3rd place: 30 points
-- 4th place: 20 points
-- 5th place: 16 points
-- 6th place: 12 points
-- 7th place: 8 points
-- 8th place: 6 points
-- 9th place: 4 points
-- 10th place: 2 points

- And that's not all!

Event winner gets to decide, which GTP-class car will be used in next GTR-league's race which will be held on next Saturday. There are three different GTP-cars to choose from:
- FXO GTP (FXP) which is FXO GTR (FXR) with 10% intake restriction
- XR GTP (XRP) which is XR GTR (XRR) with 10% intake restriction
- FZ50 GTP (FZP) which is FZ50 GTR (FZR) with 9% intake restirction

And, as always, there's a catch: those two GTP-cars, which won't be chosen to 10th GTR-league's race, will be used in 11th GTR-league race, while that GTP-car, which will be chosen to 10th GTR-league's race, will not be used in 11th GTR-league race. So this event winner, pick wisely!

Because I can't participate this event due to my work shift, this race will not be streamed on Twitch.

Race is replica from 1st race of 5th season of the Finnish Semi-Endurance League which was held on May 6, 2017. Race itself is normal, but it has few special regulations.

Server is password protected during race, but not during qualifying.

Pitlane is open only during laps: 8-12, 20-23 and 26-30. Remember, that pitlane is only open when race leader is on one of those laps.

Race starts in a formation session. Speed limit in formation session is 80km/h (or 50mph). At 20:00-20:02 (UTC+3), drivers drive in single-file formation. Warming tires during this is allowed. At 20:02 (again, time is in UTC+3), drivers will go to double-file formation. Warming tires from now on is prohibited. At 20:03 (UTC+3), race begins.

Instructions will be displayed in chat as race messages. I have scheduled commands that at 20:00, instructions related to formation session and single-file appear. Then, at 20:02, instructions making a double-file formation appear. And finally, at 20:03, will be displayed message Green Flag! (or something like that).

Those drivers who don't follow the rules in formation session will be kicked.

If necessary, yellow and red flags may be used. If red flag is shown, race will be stopped either temporarily or permanently. Drivers must follow instructions/orders from admins. Drivers may also be forced to use the same speed that they used in Formation session if necessary.

Point system is different than it normally is:
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 20 points
3rd place: 15 points
4th place: 10 points
5th place: 8 points
6th place: 4 points

Mandatory pit stops: 0
80% limit: (minimum lap amount to get classified): 80% lap amount of winner's lap amount.
Wind speed: 30-39km/h

Race type: Race has many special regulations. First of all, only AI-drivers are allowed to participate. Secondly, server will be protected with password for whole event. Also, for all drivers, one AI-driver has to use FXO GTR (FXR), another must use XR GTR (XRR) and third one must use FZ50 GTR (FZR) during event. This is possible because maximum amount of AI-drivers per guest on server is 3.

This race will be streamed on Twitch. Stream begins during Warm-Up and ends after race. https://www.twitch.tv/srtfinland

Minimum license: S2

Schedule (all times are in UTC+3):

- 16:10: Server will be password protected

- 16:15: Qualifying begins and lasts 90 minutes. It is divided into 4 parts. First three lasts 25 minutes and final one lasts 15 minutes. For first 25 minutes, only FXO GTR's are allowed to drive, for the next 25 minutes, only XR GTR's are allowed to drive. After that, FZ50 GTR's are allowed to drive for the next 25 minutes and for the final 15 minutes, all three GTR-cars are allowed to drive.

Because AI-drivers extremely likely will return to the pitlane when they're on lap 4 during qualifying, you can return them back on track by two ways:
If you're Admin: Use command /pitlane [AI-driver's name] or

If you're Admin or Guest: Use command /spec [AI-driver's name] and then command /ai [AI-driver's name]. Just make sure, that when you're typing AI-driver's name when typing /ai-command, you have to make sure, that you type it using exact same colors that it has in his/her name.

AI-driver who gets a pole position earns 2 points.

- 17:45: Qualifying ends and Warm-up/Briefing begins. During this session, make sure that you have your AI's on track and they're using right setups. At this moment, SRT's stream goes live on https://www.twitch.tv/srtfinland

- 18:00: Warm-Up/Briefing ends and Race begins. Race lasts 3 hours. If you want your AI-driver to make pitstop on certain lap, do this:
- If you're admin: Assign a Stop 'n' Go-penalty for that AI-driver by command /p_sg [AI-driver's name] before it starts it's last sector of the lap. During last sector, before (s)he goes into pitlane, clear that penalty by command /p_clear [AI-driver's name].

- If you're guest: Ask me to give a penalty for your AI-driver as assigning penalties even for own AI-drivers is only possible for admins. Please inform me, that which AI-driver you want to go into pitlane and on which lap.

There is also possibility to give Drive-Through-penalty for your own AI-driver, if you have a faster AI-driver behind him/her. If you want your AI-driver to go into pitlane, but not for pitstop, you need to do pretty much the same thing that you do, when you want your AI-driver to make a pitstop on certain lap via Stop 'n' Go-penalty. There are two differences though:
1) You don't need to remove/clear that penalty on last sector (clearing that penalty - as long as that AI-driver is on it's last sector of the lap - does not make any harm though)
2) If you're admin: you need to type /p_dt [AI-driver's name] to assign Drive-Through-penalty instead of typing /p_sg [AI-driver's name].

But, as a new rule for this season, if you assign your driver a penalty after pitlane has been closed due to conditions, that driver will get either Drive-Through- (if there's yellow flag on track) or Stop 'n' Go-penalty (if there's red flag on track) for entering pitlane when pitlane is closed.

- 21:00: Race ends. Driver who gets fastest lap and drives at least 80% of the race winner's lap amount will get two points. Also, that driver who has highest speed velocity gets two points.

Case: Spiky vs. RIGA|BABY and POLIS

During race, Spiky (LFSW: I don't think you need to know this specifically..., but if you really need to, it's Spiiiky) made a protest of two drivers: RIGA|BABY (LFSW: Skabarga1), who crashed with him and POLIS (LFSW: Miglonis) who deliberately tried to full speed ram him and/or GenR uNite (LFSW: Nikopdr). I watched replay and I've come to a conclusion about those two drivers.

- RIGA|BABY: Caused an unavoidable incident with Spiky, by not giving him enough space during lap 3. This driver contacted Spiky after later one already got ahead. RIGA|BABY could have turned left as there was more than enough space over there.

However, we are not sure, was this incident done on purpose or not as other than not turning left side of road, there's no clear sign of him/her trying to contact Spiky intentionally. For that reason, RIGA|BABY recieves a warning for causing unavoidabale incident with Spiky.

- POLIS: Both Nikopdr and Spiky overtook POLIS at the same straight at the same time during lap 5. After that, when coming to last corner of track, POLIS deliberately tried to crash both of them without even trying to brake. Luckily, POLIS just squeezed between them and didn't hit either one, which caused only retrie for him.

Since it's obvious that POLIS tried to ruin those two drivers' races, POLIS will be banned from SRT-races for two months.

Two other important things:

1) Few drivers after being involved in crash, just called other drivers, who were involved in that crash, crashers or idiots. Please: unless situation is absolutely clear, try to solve these cases in a civilized manner after race has ended. Don't call anyone crasher, instead; open another LFS-window and watch temp_mpr-named replay or save mpr-file by pressing 2 and then go to watch that replay. Make a conculsion after watching a situation on replay, not before it!

2) Sometimes, there's been discussion about having Midrace joining allowed for first 20% of the race. This has caused some other drivers join the race about 5 laps behind the race leader and on rare occasions, even try to ruin other people races. At the moment, I am considering about changing this Midrace joining-policy to something else. I already have three possible ideas on mind, one obvious, one simple and one more complex:

Obvious idea:
- Exactly when race starts (or during warm-up), server will be password protected. I may do a scheduled command for that on Airio to make this work automatically. After race has ended, server is again open for everyone.

Simple idea:
- For first 20% of race, midrace joining is allowed. However, now every driver may rejoin up to three times during first 20% of race, in this idea, every driver may rejoin just once.

More complex idea:
- For first 10% of race: midrace joining is allowed. After that, midrace joining is not allowed.
- For first 20% of race: car reset is allowed (preferebaly once, in that case, if driver does a car reset, DT-penalty/30 second time penalty (depending if there is a pitlane normally on track) will be issued to that driver). After that, car reset is not allowed.

If anyone has any other suggestions for this, feel free to contact me Smile
