Noice... can't wait...

Quote from AtTilA08 :lol its the worst online game ever. 10 min cruising until you fond someone, then he just begin ramming you to the h3ll. Or 'server unenviable' (or whatever I do not really remember) text every time after you leave garage.

Well, blame it on lack of friends and poor connection... I had a disconnect a total of 2 times. And locking on friends and having arranged a meeting spot (and preferably a route) you can have quite a blast... Think about it... 8 people who you know, playing with headphones and microphones, driving in an orderly manner at x3 the speed limit in a highly detailed supercars... vs a bunch of people on a small track with barriers all over it... AFAIK it's the "feel" of the city driving that gives the cruisers their fun... and well... let's just say I can't imagine a barrier being a skyscraper

You can't get better resolution from youtube... you can go over 1280x720 if you're planning to upload the video somewhere for download. Otherwise YT is going to resize and recompress, which will drop the quality dramatically.

BTW, your vid quality looks good, better than my PC can squeeze out of LFS... (just you wait for my upgrade...)

Quote from zeromussov :Isn't that 'bad' quality to record... everything looks a bit croppy when I change my resolution to that in LFS..

You should pay attention to the size of your monitor to seek the answer as to "why HD resolution looks worse".... Or in other words.... YES, record @ 1280x768

Quote from zeromussov :I have a question about the black 'blocks' @ 16:10 recording.

I use a 24" 1920:1200 screen, so the video will be in 16:10 format. (recording with FRAPS)
After that I want to make it 16:9(HD) format with Sony Vegas Pro, but I can't find the right option to do that. (or it will stretch the screen...and that's not exactly what I want )

Anyone who can help?

You should record in the resolution you're going to use in video editing, not the other way around

Quote from DragonCommando :Wow, that must have sucked real hard, did it just shift lock or did it actualy do damage to the car?

Did some damage. New camshafts and valves were needed. I managed to outsource a whole head for replacement... my GF hated me for that though... it was her civic

Quote from DragonCommando :LOL, you want over 9000?

I had an "ITS OVER NINE THOUSAND!" moment when I went and turned in all the pennies I've been saving for the past eight years.

I once downshifted too early in a 95 Honda Civic.... same slogan, worse results

Allright, I won't do that again... but you might want to warn the others about the quality of the video, not sugarcoating it, BEFORE they watch it

You should have made a slogan for it or something like...
The new UF One thousand... it's over nine thousand! (I hope you people know the expression "over 9k", or else the joke would fail)

Quote from brt900 :well i didnt try to make it look good

yes, you only made it look worse by adding those filters... seriously, it's pretty much unwatchable...

Quote from buck77 :What does After Effects do?

Its' a software that adds Effects After you've done editing

the "thanks for watching the fail" line instead of credits sums it up completely, if Im honest. It's a frapsed replay made unwatchable by awful quality

Quote from Mp3 Astra :Quick thing that's been on my mind lately:

How to name your video:

Trailer: Your video is a trailer if it's showing highlights of a longer video that you plan to release later. Or it is a trailer for LFS itself.

Teaser: Your video is a teaser if it is short and only gives away a small amount about the subject matter and you probably intend on releasing a bigger video later.

Promo/Promotional Video: Your video is a promo if you're advertising an event and/or product related to LFS. It will probably be a little longer than a trailer and teaser and it will need to give some relevant information to the viewers.

Compilation: Your video is a compilation if it is just general racing from many different servers and leagues.

Highlights Reel/Season Review: Your video is a highlight reel if it's the best action from one particular race or league. It's similar to a compilation but more specific in its subject matter.

Broadcast: Your video is a broadcast if it contains elements of live commentary and TV camera style views.

Analysis: Your video is an analysis if it's focussing on one aspect of a race or league, and will probably contain text or speech.

Feature Film: Your video is a feature film if it contains a storyline. You may want to release trailers and teasers beforehand.

Frapsed Replay: Your video is a frapsed replay if it has had no editing done to it and it literally just a standard LFS cam watching something. This is ok, if you're just making videos for 'teh lulz'.

Correct me if I'm wrong or if any more categories should be added.

That sounds good for now, adding to the 1st post

Quote from Drift King CZ :Next time post into the Videos section.

Actually it rather belongs in the tech support or novice section. Since he isn't posting a vid, nor asking how to make one

Yup, an **** and proud... Even though I thought more of "strict but fair", your terms are closer to truth.
and sigged.

P.S: Riders Motion - so it happened, get over it... I wasn't in an exclusive club
P.P.S: This thread seems to start show some entertainment (about time)... I love reading inadequate people's posts

Quote from aptitudex :Since posting the video Im supprised that 'SQUIDHEAD' hasnt opened his smart mouth and made a comment.

Quote from th84 :"And so the Lord sayeth, thou shall not give advice as to how to improve aptitude's vidoes. All that do so shall be cast down with profane language. So shall pass my 11th commandment."

Why would I want to waste my time on something useless, knowing the result I'd get?
(judging by this thread's view count, Im not the only one who's getting the right idea)

HOW CAN I MAKE MOVIES LIKE THIS ONE USING VEGAS 7???

try looking for LFS movie making tutorials... there was one somewhere in the movies section... it's quite well hidden though.

On topic
Impressing video, got the feel, the immersion, the character... only one thing off.... the name... I was expecting to see how you'd describe the feelings of the losing side, it wasn't there. Apart from that - really solid work man

Quote from Watson02 :Camera was poor

That's what I agree on.
Picking up from where Watson left, I'd like a bit of variety in a nearly 5 minute video since it felt like watching the same 1 minute video 5 times in a row, and a bit of editing and cuting when you're switching between cameras would do it good. Also at least a colour correction would be nice. And why didn't you remove the rest of the hud from the screen?

Quote from Chrisuu01 :.

if i record with 250 or 125 speed what should I do something with that?

As in at how much fps would it record so i can speed that up to look like normal speed instead of superslowmo

if you record in .125, in vdub you put in

(FPS you recorded in)x8
and you don't get super slow motion if you're recording at half and then doubling the speed, and so on. Simple maths really

Record in .250 speed, import the captured video to vdub
in Vdub press Video>frame rate and there, select “Change frame rate to (fps)”. You will be now able to input a new frame rate setting. The FPS youre looking for is FPS you were recording with x4

I don't know what to do now...
I got 3 options:
1 Leave this thread and never watch his videos again
2 Start a fullscale criticism bombardment on the quality of the video and the over pumped ego of the creator
3 Do a barrel roll...
