Prices you guy are saying I could buy a different car every month. The cheapest car around here, which I'd trust to buy, is a MK3 Fiesta for 250 Euros.

Quote from Migz :what if they underprice it?
iAyeYetAnotherUnderpricedPieceOfCrap

They are? well maybe the ipod touch and the iphone, but all the other ipods defintly are not... people arnt judged on wether they have a normal ipod or a mp3 player....

Oh really? That's why a lot of people call it an ipod now instead of a mp3 player?
I can't stand the stuff either, there are other brands who offer the same product, for less money, but they are left out because the masses only know what an ipod is.

Thx Dustin, works now! Probably some error in linking. In FP it was written with a capital, so I removed the button and added it again, and now it seems to work (for me at least).

Add/Remove Programs -> FrontPage -> Remove.

More seriously, try changing the link to read "http://users.telenet.be/schoolsiteCamps/Camps%20bvba/Locatie.htm" rather than "http://users.telenet.be/schoolsiteCamps/Camps%20bvba/locatie.htm"

The first tip, I only downloaded it today, in trial version, just to make this crap for school. We HAVE TO make it in FrontPage, so I don't have a choice.

I'll try what you said.

So I finished my crappy looking website for school, everything works except one thing.
To show the location of the company, I used google maps. I added the HTML code to the page, and when I test the page in browser, it works fine. But when I upload the page I get a redirect, page not found message. Does anyone know why?

Plus most of the people in my list aren't English, so why would they say "look at these pics of me"...

Looks very nice, very well done (to the original creator), the other renders are very nice too!

Just a little rant: could you Germans please stop using the word "geil", it means "horny" in Dutch and I always feel like I'm looking at text-pr0n.

What makes you so important that when you ask something the devs have to read it personally and have to fix it right now because you're a little mad..
Now there's a definition for a big baby.

My car can handle it, it just sounds so bad and wrong

Quote from ajp71 :I can't imagine it is more than 3/4 of the redline/safe revs for the engine.

Ten years ago 4000 rpm in my car was safe... Now (with a leaking dieselpump) I'm not to fond of it anymore

Quote from ajp71 :Of course it depends on test station but just redlining a car is just a liability.

I actually have heard of engines breaking down during the test. They don't redline it, but they go pretty hard with it.

Again, like most of the time, the problem isn't really to buy or build a 1000 hp car, but to get it insured and put it on the street legally is a big problem.

And emission testing at moderate rpms? I don't think so, they just floor the pedal, the car goes into such high rpms I wouldn't trust to do on the road. But apparently a car should be clean enough in states it should never be in on the road.

Tractors are often allowed because they have a limit of 25 mph.
Back in the day here, you could drive a tractor without a license, on the road. That changed now and you have to be a certain age (don't know how old), and then you can get a specific tractor license.

Quote from Ian.H :True, but for most records, don't people try to actually achieve something? Hoping (and that's all it is on the part of Mozilla.. it's hardly them setting a record anyway) that people download on a certain day is as lame as it gets. Maybe I should set a record of the most drops of rain caught in a 1/2" diameter cup placed on a wall in an hour while I do umm... oh, nothing.. it'll still be _my_ record.. woohoo!.... and I guess I'll just have to hope it rains

Well, I'm just checking on the site and from the top of my head: you're not really achieving something by being the tallest person, you just are. But okay, that's still one person who does it.

But there are also records of mass participation. Like the largest tea party, then it just gets set to the place it happend. So technically, this record will get featured as "world"

So let's get this straight...

Give someone under 21 booze is a big no-no, he'll be a huge danger for himself.
But hey, why not put a 15 year old in a 2 tonne truck so he can be a danger to everyone!?

Quote from Ian.H :Break what record? AFAIK, there is no record to break, so even 10 downloads sets the bar. There's probably a reason no-ones gone for this record before.. it's so damn lame!

IMO, this is just some marketing ploy as some kind of "retaliation" against Apple and their stupid Safari stunt.. Mozilla have been up in arms about that since it happened (and thank fsck, none of the windoze boxes I use at home or at work have windoze update enabled).

Think of all the other, far more established open-source projects out there (Apache, MySQL, etc).. you don't see them having "download days" trying to set non-existent records.. a bit like winning a football match, due to the other side preferring to stay in the pub.. it's hardly winning / achieving anything is it

Regards,

Ian

Half the Guinness book of records contains stuff nobody cares about. But once you find something to set a record for, other people will probably try to break it. I'm actually surprised it wasn't in there before. But if you just take some nude pics of a celeb you'll get more downloads in 24 hours than with any kind of software

I know it's marketing, but I already use FireFox, so why wouldn't I help them break the record? I'll download it anyway at some time in the future, so why not that day?
If it doesn't cost me an effort to do and I can help someone with it, it would be kinda lame not doing it..

Quote from P5YcHoM4N :Out side of the EU you need to have a full licence for four years. Although this was just when I was looking to get a rental in Canada. I suspect other countries have the same sort of rules.

I think that's a rule the rental business sets. I think you can drive wherever you want, more of a problem is which countries your insurance will cover.
