Ok, mate. Thanks a lot for your time! I really do appreciate this. Yeah, well.. I think I am gonna play little more with drivers, maybe a new one is out, if nothing helps then Windows reinstall
If I pick South City Long track, for an example, and I do a run in Single Player or just being alone - I get 250-333 fps, if I just go racing with big grid, the first car gets something like 115-130+ fps, the car that stand in the middle of the grid - around 60-80fps.. but when there is close racing and many cars are involved - it can drop to 40 fps which is not good. I don't know why is this. It's really powerful card which should run lfs without any problems.
My PC specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 925 @ 2,8Ghz
8GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB Kingston DDR2 @ 800 Mhz)
GPU: MSi HD 7850 OC 1GB GDDR5 256 bit @ 900/1200 Mhz
HDD runs at 7200 rpm
EDIT: even some weird optimization during Single Player, for an example, if you pick Westhill track and going on the track - fps is like 160-180fps, but if u run again you get 450-500 fps limit. Really weird.
Haha! Well this forum section is my point of interest as long I am video editor. I feel a pleasure to point out things in various works made by different video editors and if possible - give a feedback, maybe a little constructive criticism or advice to help video editors with their upcoming works
Nice colors, a proper speed up use in some particular shots. Song is OK. Some shots I really liked: that one on Aston track after main straight 360 spin in speed up and somehow I liked the final shot where tracking the cars and the camera moves behind the trees. What I did not like - black screen blinking at the start, some improper speed up shots and no ending. Apart from that, a really good effort. Keep it up!
Nice run, nice camera work and angles Don't apologise for the music, just before publishing make sure its ok, if it's not - replace the song with other version, or if it resonates - lower the volume of the track on editing software. That's it. It's not that hard to fix the song, you don't need to remake whole video, do you? So yeah. Make sure it's really ok then publish. Just keep this in mind next time. Apart from that, good work!
Wow. This what I call a great piece of work! Really nicely done. Those additional effects fit well (maybe a bit awkward that optical flare effect in the middle of the fern bay shot). I really like that shot where there is a collision with Core Racing car and that slow mo part where other car goes off the track.
That audio wave is pretty useless. Really, really awkward edit I should say. I know you had an intention to synch the footage to the audio, well.. At some stages it was pretty ok, but mostly just awkward. The start procedure scene took much of time. Also camera movement wasn't as smooth as it should have been. The song is disturbing and a bit silly (well yeah, I know it's just a matter of taste). What can I say good? Well I can definitely say one good thing for sure - a good choice of colours and no unnecessary effects used.
Get rid of that dumb motion blur effect, put camera movement speed to very low and smoothness high and you are good to go. Keep this in mind next time. At least I see this video with an idea which is something good at least
Karl speaks about Fernando and his own mistake hittin' Seb at the very start, at the second corner. It's was amateur level mistake and Fernando made a mistake after a long time. Everybody makes mistakes. We are all human beings.
As Hamilton's fan, I feel sorry for him. I understand his frustration, 'cos he won the 3rd place thanks to team tactics. Not the best podium to celebrate. And I feel sorry for Rosberg who could have won well deserved 3rd place, but didn't.
Yeah, I agree with Mearehear. There isn't such a PRO or amateur thing. Basically, we are all amateur who get no money for the job we do. The technique of video editing or camerawork is just a matter of taste, style. That's it.
1. Who will win? Kimi
2. Who will take Pole? Hamilton
3. How many laps we will see behind Safety Car? 4
4. Will we see the Red Flag? No
5. First one to crash his car? Van Der Garde
6. How many cars will finish the race? 20
Error-less piece of work. Very well done. Some onboard action is really exciting and well shown. I like the conception that you turn next onboard shot right in the middle of the action where the car behind is just right there. Gives some aggression and impulse.
Your choice, mate Arma III is military simulation, so yeah.. You need to be prepared and have a right hardware to experience all the excitement that the game provide.
By the way, there are some tutorials that guide the audience and help to understand how big is the difference between which runs calculations more on CPU or GPU:
Unfortunately Arma III is using PhysX calculations on CPU, instead of GPU. Dunno if the developers will optimize it for GPU's and maybe even make PhysX run on GPU.
