mmmm 400nm, of torque

What sort of RPM does the Mondeo TDCi get? I'm only use to clunky, smelly, oily 4x4 diesel engines that have bugger all breath after 4000rpm

We have the LX4 and LX6 (one day maybe the LX8)... why not an LX3...

You can tell by the shape of the car that it wouldn't be FWD as well.

I've noticed the feet of people stick through the floor of the UF1000 in a similar way

Could be a rust problem?

There is a fun one at KY National. The sand trap on the left, as you turn into the infield, has a dip in it although the wall doesn't dip with it. Most cars (provided their setup allows them to be driven through sand) will drive underneath it and fly out the otherside back onto the oval and then reset back on track with a flat arse.

Also a similar thing at the chicane before the pit entrance of Aston GP/Historic (on the left).

Yeah, #1 at least! I was hoping to have ramps at the oval for some high speed mid-air smash ups

nice

I always liked the ghost car option in other titles I have played that had it. Helped with improving my time often, although sometimes I found it frustrating and distracting so I would switch it off for a bit. I don't care either way, I just need to be bothered to learn how to use the replay analyser for LFS again.

GT3 & 4 have both BTW.

Don't talk to me about fuel prices, hehe.. America has always had fuel cheaper compared to Australia.. now and before.

Example:

1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.7854118 litre

Right now you pay $3.19 US for 1 gallon of fuel (3.79 litres).

Right now I pay $1.36 AUD for 1 litre of fuel.

$3.19 USD is $4.15 AUD (at the time of posting)

$1.36 AUD is $1.05 USD (at the time of posting)

In order for me to buy a gallon of fuel, at our current price, it would cost $5.15 AUD which would be $3.96 USD if your fuel was the same per litre as ours. Doh!!

Oh and two years ago fuel cost about $0.95 a litre. So, two years ago a gallon of fuel for me would have cost $3.60... not sure what our dollar was like back then though, but if it was similar to now it would have been $2.77 USD if your prices per litre were the same as ours.

All in good fun, and I understand what you mean too... it's just you're finally catching up to the rest of us, so get over it!

I kinda like this idea and I would use it if I had too. Races that have driver changes require the user to switch drivers after a certain amount of time (or you get penalty/DNF by a league admin - or so it works here), so the AI shouldn't be able to race the entire time for the player unless he or she wants a penalty/DNF.

I reckon have this disabled unless a driver change is required for a particular race. If you need to pee in a normal race (race without driver change), to bad just spectate. You're going to loose time and places pitting to switch to AI if others don't have to, so why bother really? Just pee/crap yourself or hold it in... no autopilot in motorsport hehe.

Edit:

So I for it in a race where driver change is required, but against the idea for all other uses. Just name the AI and it will be a bit more human

Quote from XCNuse :im not being an ass to them.. lol i had to get some of it too; tornadoes came all through georgia taking out tons of homes.. some people are in same boat as them

i mean.. i know what everyone went through.. i mean i havent lost my home.. but i still know what its like; just saying

plus i highly doubt you know whats going on down there like apex said; there has been TONS and TONS and TONS of stealing.. raping.. tons of bad stuff .. its crazy; PLUS.. majority of the people were dumb enough to throw parties! i mean.. comon! how stupid can you be!.. if you live in a place that is lower then sea level.. why on earth are you going to throw a party when theres a hurricane comming straight towards you when its a level 5?!

for some yes.. it is a sad sight; but for others.. its a discrace

Sometimes I struggle to understand what your talking about...

I think its very sad to hear rescue efforts put on hold in some areas to stop looting. How long till the first email scams start popping up for this? Didn't take long after the tsunami last year.

Yeah they don't but I found the above from this aritcle - http://www.choice.com.au/viewA ... 77&tid=100008&p=1

when I clicked on the roll-over test link

Edit: Oops, Yes, it's an American version of the Moose test I just watched the video of the Pajero getting on two wheels, scarey shit, lucky it had roll over bars!

Edit 2: Hey I swore and it wasn't censored

Check this out... it's a Pajero (Montero) using the moose test (although in the US). It's got a somewhat detailed picture of the course layout

I wouldn't mind this as a third party mod, sometimes it would be fun to go nuts without having to replace tyres every 10 seconds

Quote from Captain K. :I'm very satisfied with the handling of the GTI.
But i think that most of the other cars slide WAY too much.
It's beyond realistic. Like giving gas, or contra steering has almost no effect at all.
Even at slow speeds you slide and slide and slide..
So please, remove the layer of soap from the asfalt.
Ofcourse there have to be a limit where the cars start sliding, but i just feel that it is odd now.
The traction of the dirt tracks works pretty good.

Urm, there is a major flaw in your post... your driving the GTI on the same "soapy" tracks as the other cars!!!! Obviously there isn't soap on the track or the GTI would be sliding like the others too!

Maybe one of the follow has happened:

1. Someone has hacked your computer and put soap or oil on the tyres of all your LFS cars except the GTI.

2. Your setups in the other cars do not compliment your driving (vice versa), unlike in the GTI.

3. Get in any of the other LFS cars and race against a field of AI GTI drivers... this way the Antisoap GTI tyres clear the track for you and no longer will you be sliding everywhere!

Seriously, I think it comes down to all the stuff other people have mentioned and I am just dribbling useless crap

This sort of crap has happened in LFS for ages... usually follows with a series of patches next to fix it, and with patches come little suprises sometimes too

I wish genital warts upon the person behind this scam though!!

Quote from Vykos69 :I think you see it wrong, Rich. The biggest difference in LFS is, that we know and accept the still not finished parts, bugs, some unrealistic things (oval-setups ) etc. cause we know, we have an open ear on the dev-side and that things will change. Cause we for sure have the Sim with the best support ever, and the best contact from Devs to community. I have no problem with people criticising LFS; if they take into account, that their critics will be adressed and thought about deeply. I have a problem with ISI or GTR fanboyism, that say their game is perfect.
There are posts about wrong physics in LFS, with well written arguments, and they are adressed maturely, while a similar post in any ISI-based Simforum is flamed to death, just cause people think to know you (I) are (am) a LFS fanboy. That is annoying.

I wouldnt even flame Greger, knowing he likes GTR

Best example threads:
GTR-Forum:
Q: I get CTD and 1fps-bug, will there be a patch?
A: Must be your problem, learn to setup your system right, GTR runs perfectly on my sys.

LFS-Forum:
Q: I get CTD when doing this and that.
A: What are ur sys spec? You tried this? can you check for errormessages? Post them here please, I (Scawen) will have a look into it.

God damn, scawen even coded patches cause one single person had a strange bug...
Get the idea?

BTT: I'll have a look at ISI, but honestly, I doubt it will have a huge online Life. There'll be some cool mods, and some cool small mod-only leagues, but you wont have a good overall basis, especially cause ISI goes the hard way of selling over web only. They overestimate there some stuff a lot. F1C was so succesful, cause it was F1 and still easy to buy in shops after a year or so for less money to get the mods. rF wont be in shops, will only reach a limited amount of people, especially cause the community is still really small.

I was one of the people in that CTD/1FPS thread in the GTR forum... got into massive flame wars because I'm known as an LFSer. Fact is, I paid $80AUD for GTR and I was looking forward to it. I was very pissed off with GTR as I was getting the above and no-one was helping without blaming my system.. ffs, it's an obvious fault in the game if so many people get it, and if it was my system then how do I set it up correctly eh??

I don't believe in Simbins hype anymore either.

Anywho.... I liked the rFactor demo from way back, but I have this feeling that rFactor, after a month or so, will start collecting dust like my copy of GTR... I might try an updated demo and see how it goes, but LFS so far provides me with all my racing needs. I think I might wait for some decent mods as well
