Looks pretty good from this end, although 10min race doesn't sound all that appealing; why not hold two races equal in length, rather than a sprint and a longer one?

But yeah, qualifying is fine with 10 minutes. Though, the attendance won't probably be THAT high (we only had 14 in the first round, less in the others) so why not cut the points system at an earlier point? Like 12th and below get 1-5 points?

The starting grid also seems pretty random to me, I'd prefer like top 6 or 8 to be inversed.

My driver of the day is definitely Magnussen. Maybe he will do the same as Hamilton in 2007, only time will tell.

And Bottas...he had chances for a podium but banging that wall cost too much. Not much to say about Kimi, his car still isn't in a good shape.

All in all, happy to see different drivers on the podium, maybe Vettel won't be dominating as much as before anymore...I like where this is going.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :speed bumps on the apex simply don't work with mrt's. def not in an L-shape. will just cause flips and annoyance IMO.

You mean the last turn? They aren't really on the way, in my opinion. It works as an anticut and I also added the pole to prevent going too far.

Just to let you guys know, since we need to make the tracks shorter, here's one idea I had when I first organized Formula M (same layout as before, just reworked and polished some useless objects).

Have a go and let me know how it is.

That's some very nice stuff right there

DD1 skins would also look nice indeed. :P

Quote from Mustangman759 :I doubt many people will sign up with the decline in participation. You can expect 25% of the people you had signed up last season to actually bother to look at the thread.
And judging from last year you should learn from what did not work (ie the hour long races)

I wouldn't care the less, Cameron would be in charge of this anyway.

Besides, even though we had very few participants, I was glad people even bothered to enter. LFS is basically dead anyway so I can't expect much anymore. Problem?
Quote from CodeLyoko1 :of course asking for an opinion and then telling that I should not give my opinion is a great way to show your attitude didn't change

Yeah yeah keep throwing your usual bs at me.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :obviously didn't learn from last year...
just no

Hey that's my opinion, no need to flip me off like that.

Why don't you just stay out of this if you don't have anything sensible to say? It's not like I expected you to be a part of this again.

I think the races should be longer than 30 minutes. :P

As for the tracks, they obviously need to be shorter. Laptimes should be like 1:30 at maximum.

Quote from Bose321 :Totally off-topic, but I'm a little worried about GTA IV. R* obviously won't release another patch because they don't care about the shitty PC version they have made.

Maybe a little off-topic, yeah.

Anyway, I got nothing else to say here.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :GFWL will be taken out of those games (which will be done very very soon). It will be carried over to steam.

If that's true, I hope so.

GFWL is the best invention after Vista.

Quote from Bose321 :Thanks for your kind words.

DiRT3 is indeed a troublesome game... Newer games like GRID2 and F12013 should run just fun though, without any adjustments. Have fun on the track.

One thing I hate about DiRT 3 is GAMES FOR WINDOWS LIVE, the best creation ever. After reinstalling Windows 7 it worked without problems, as I had some kind of registry issues, resulting in GFWL to not be able to be installed. The only problem with DiRT 3 I have (which I just experienced) is a random crashing issue when I restart a special stage or finish it.

Anyway, if any mods are lurking this thread, you can feel free to close it now.

Quote from Bose321 :Codemasters games are a little annoying to get working. Just like LFS, you will need so-called car profiles to get the LEDs working. We don't know a max RPM value from the game, so we can't really show the LEDs. If you open the car settings under the Advanced tab, you can enter the values for your car. The car you're driving in-game should be there already with blank values.

You can also try to use the car 'default' to make a global car config.

Eh...I think I'm gonna pass DiRT 3.

I'm having trouble running it already as it crashes randomly.

Anyway now that I got to use Fanaleds I have to say a great piece of software you've developed there.

Quote from Bose321 :Check out our readme: http://fanaleds.com/readme

Also, if you press help > configure games automatically, it should setup the game for you. Just keep in mind you have to enable the insim manually, or launch LFS with a shortcut that enables the insim.

Yeah at first I went with the readme, then used automatical configuration but that didn't help. Now that Whiskey gave me that file, it started working.

DiRT 3 doesn't work though.

Quote from Whiskey :You need to setup your InSim and OutGauge settings (quite obvious), but you also need to use this file.

Open Fanaleds, then click File->Open settings folder, and copy the file there.

I'll try that when I get home, thanks.

Quote from Whiskey :Don't worry mate, I'm sure pretty much everybody has made the same mistake. It is even worse when you already know how it works and still fail haha

Indeed. xD

I guess the thread can be closed then.

Though going a little off-topic, I also downloaded the Fanaleds but didn't get 'em to work. Wonder what's wrong...

Quote from Whiskey :Were you trying it in a car with H-pattern gearbox or was the car sequential?

I feel so stupid now xd

I tried it on an MRT. So if I understood correctly you can only use the H-pattern with those cars using it?
Logitech G27 H-pattern issue

Hi,

So I recently did a reinstall of Windows 7, and today I reinstalled LFS. (I've also installed the Logitech Profiler)

When I went in the game, I set up all the settings required to supposedly make the H-pattern shifting work (Gear shift set to shifter, automatic clutch off etc.) but I can't make the H-pattern work. I checked if the gears were set correctly, and they were, by default. When I switched the gears in the menu, the game detects it, but when you go driving, shifting has no affect at all (yes, I pressed the clutch and also checked that it's working).

I also checked some other threads regarding G27 but none of them helped. Has anyone had the same issue, perhaps?

Yesterday I was playing rFactor 2 and the shifter worked fine.

Shorter races for sure, although some will obviously be long such as Kyoto, and it could serve as the finale again as well. As for tracks like Aston, they need to be redesigned.

Since it's 2014 now I was thinking when to begin the series again. I would start a poll but I think it would be unnecessary so you guys can just leave suggestions below.

I'm also looking for people to work on the series with me.

I still haven't thought about the calendar/layouts but I'm sure some of them will be the same as last year. I might do some rework on the tracks though.
