tristan:
1. you select the glass part polys, and detach them as a new object (and edit the glass if it needs any more editing), and then u edit the ex.glass polys on the main body, do make the lamps. (my english is bad, msg me on msn if u need any further help)
2. you can use target weld, and weld them vertices one by one, no matter how far the one vertice is from the other.

Quote from Righteous :Taken a while to get it done, but here is a render of the Norway XFR. Sorry for the delay.

not bad man, not bad.. i like it
you could use a little bump map on the asphalt though
(and a better resolution texture maybe)

vanirl, in gimp, and other progs of that style:
u gotta get used to be working with layers
learn how to use the tools (brush, eraser, pencil, cut etc.)
learn how to modify selections
learn how to change the resolution of a file (to 1024x1024 @ 300dpi)
and learn how to save proper .jpg's

http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/ <--check this link out, im sure it will save you ALOT of time

then, u can make a renderable skin

i own 21" + 22" CRTs and my laptop has a 17" lcd..
i must say :
CRTs have much better smoothing while playing games, and much sharper graphics while working on 3dsmax, photoshop, etc.
the lcd though, is way brighter, and the colours correction is way better.
make ur choise..
i use both

Quote from VALE 46 :The focus on a camera would affect what the water drops look like. If its focused on something further away the drops would look like the pic don posted, right

it depends..
i have an old fish-eye camera (IKON ZEISS Ultrawide) and when u take a picture everything is sharp no matter the distance, from 0.50m to infinity..

Quote from XCNuse :

obviously its meshsmoothed.. thats because i .. have no experience in game modeling

mine's meshsmoothed too, but u know, its easy to remove that modifier later IF we ever get these cars in the game and we need to apply another smoother..

i agree about having brand new cars in lfs instead of tuned existing ones (thats the job of the developpers)
Hyperactive: nah, i wanted it to be with a hardroof so i made it with one
( i dunno if i should leave it all glass or not though..)
