Hellos, could we make it clear to everybody what kind of rules to use. There seems to be at least 2 different versions. I was on a server today and very few people knew what the reules where and the few who knew disagreed (I read the rules for that server, but lost the link). In any case, lets try to make it clear for all, if at all possible.
- One cop to every 4 robbers.
- No joining between race. (unless you ask nicely ).
- Once you are hit three times pit and change colors to cop (white).
- You can go anyway round the track you want.
- Cops cannot wait around at pit exit!
- Once a robber has been hit he/she will put 1,2 or 3 into the text box everytime they are hit, once they reached 3 they turn into a cop.
- No one will use the map! Shift + F!
Last robber left wins!

2) Rules for the other type:
Unfortunately the servers are very disorganised and u see almost no cops at all. And, yes, the "robbers" don't really exist. Only guys, who break the law (a la speeding)
Hellos, does anyone know the server owner? I was banned by somebody who does not know the rules. They told me to pull over and if I didn't they banned me. The same guy also tried to ban several others... He thought that if we did not obey when he said that we must pull over, then he was intitled to ban us.
In any case the server is fun and I would really like to play there again. However, now I'm banned for I don't know how long
That's not logical argumentation. You are confusing two things.
If the driver is allowed to choose and if the race is for victory and the driver wants to win, then undoubtedly the driver chooses the car he is fastest in.
If the server enables only for example MRT 6 then everybody who wants to drive that car will join that server. All drivers will be driving it. The leagues and teams can organise races in those cars for example. Or one can hotlap in that car, because that offers some difference.
If a server has forced pitstop then it is intended that the drivers get to experience the race with making a pitstop. The server owner never-ever intends that the pitstop should be allowed to make on the last lap. What would be the point!?!?!?
If it is not a preagreed term among racers that last lap pit is OK then anybody who makes their pitstop on the last lap knowingly and willingly cheats the idea of the server and cheats all racers. If you forgot to pit before last lap then it is your own fault and nobody elses. In that case you should pay the price and not take advantage. Taking advantage with "ops, I forgot to pit, so I just do it on the last lap" is pure bullshit. Noone should suffer because you f*cke up.
What the hell is the problem? You do understand that usual LFS races are not 40-70 laps long? Pitstops are a part of such long races. Quite often such races involve pitstops. However, normal LFS racing is not so long and pitstops are not necessary. There is a difference for the reason of the pitstops. In real racing forced pitstops are for entertaining the viewer, In LFS they are for entertaining the racers and making them experience the pitstop.
But, doooooohh... oukey... "Any race series that has to force pit stops to make it interesting has a problem IMO, real or virtual."

as you improve and move up the LFS ladder you get to be purple.
Your PB gets to look fairly competent and your name turns red.
You progress on through a couple of leagues..you're starting to get some respect from other racers...you are now an 'orange'...cool! but you still envy those yellows it looks like you're going to have to put in a lot of practice to get there...but after a year you finally make it! hoorah! quote]
WEll.. u haven't seen much then. I've seen all kinds of people in S2. And nobody realised what they were up to. For 2 days they visited the same server and I was lik omg, they will just keep doing this and nobody understands.
It often happens that the people who know "how to" forget to mention the "ofcourse you have to do that" things. I think it was a fair question, and your answer was certainly not a complete one.
