Hello guys,

Need some help on a Trojan that appears to have made it's way onto my Computer. I was surfing YouTube looking at some Videos, and next thing I know, AVG is going nuts telling me it has detected two viruses.

Here's what it says.

C:\\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe - Virus Identified Win32/Patched.FM.

C:\\WINDOWS\explorer.exe - Virus Identified Win32/Patched.FL

Now, being important Windows files, there is nothing I can do. AVG will not quarantine or delete these files due to them being white listed. I've tried using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and that does nothing either. AVG's Resident Shield will just stay open constantly notifying me of these errors.

I really need some help on how to Remove or Repair them files without having to Re-Format my Computer, as that is not an option at the moment. I'm really confused as to where this Virus could of come from, as I was only browsing YouTube, and I have never visited any sort of dodgy sites, so I'm baffled.

Any help?

EDIT: Just noticed that Opera sometimes opens Tabs on it's own containing adverts, so I assume it is from YouTube.

Just wait until your Rose Tinted shades wear off. Then you will start to see how much of a disappointment the game really is. For 8 years of development, they could of added many more features quite easily, Free Roam and Multiplayer could of been done in that time. Just seems to me like they concentrated a little too much on the Story, and not enough on what players can do after.

Apparently, it was a 316i with M3 running gear which the guy bought for cheap. He took it on a track day not realizing that the Rear Left bottom arm had suffered a knock before, so the guy he bought it off heated it up and bent it back to shape. Problem was the Non-M3 bottom arms are already as strong as a crisp packet, hence bending it back done it no favors.

Next time the guy took a corner, the arm bent back, and he done a further two laps wondering why the hell the car was handling so weird. He's lucky it did not come off altogether, as it could of quite easily flipped the car! Lucky sod...

Why not do what I'm gonna do? Rent it out and complete it (if you want), then once you have handed it back, just forget about it until Free-Roam or Multiplayer arrives.

It would only cost me £6 to rent it for a week. I would rather do that instead of paying £30-£40, completing it, having nothing to do after, which means that Mafia 2 will just be a pretty plastic ornament in my cabinet.

EDIT: BTW Dawes, we should give ourselves a pat on the back. This is the first time we have managed to interchange more than 2 posts between each other, without it turning into a Xbox vs. PS3 argument.

Well, Free-Roam could also come to the PC and 360 too as I doubt they would do it for one platform. I was just saying it because the PS3 has suffered a terrible port and when comparing it to the 360 and PC, it really does make you notice the difference.

I wasn't aware that they already said that before it's release, but no matter which way you look at it, 10 hours is way to short for a story line. I'm sure that Mafia 2's story is fantastic, but I think it is too short personally.

Personally, I feel quite disappointed about what I have heard so far. I'm sure I will enjoy Mafia 2 when I get round to playing it, but unless they patch in a Free-Roam or Multiplayer mode, I will not be buying it. I shall just rent it out for a while, complete it then forget about it.
