Kobayashi might be able to catch Kimi before the end, Expect Schumacher to fly at these guys though if the tyres start to fade.

Sauber seem to be the only team to make the softs work.

Also Burnout, since every series ever in histroy has Unlapping yourself been allowed, I don't understand your point.

Long dead mate.
Do you think Racing Sim Talent is Transferable to Real Life?

Since i haven't exactly raced in Real(apart from the odd Kart race) I couldn't really answer this.

Quote from J@tko :Yeah, I suppose he was going for the "lets drive a car I can drive in real life" kinda thing. Definitely got it spot on about the differing driving styles IRL compared to online. Although I'd struggle to describe iRacing's physics as "spookily realistic" - not sure I'd even describe LFS's as quite that good.

If assuming he was used to the arcade racers like Grand Turismo and Forza and then when introduced to sims like iRacing he was stunned on how much more realistic it was compared to those.

I think there is plenty of ways to trigger it without making the driver press a button, maybe make it engage when the engine oil hits a certain temperature.

Quote from Hyperactive :Going from mclaren to lotus is a downgrade in just about every way. Why would lewis want to leave mclaren anyways? Apart from redbull no one has been able to design dominating cars. So unless lewis goes to redbull everything else is just downgrade or little below what he has at mclaren at best. Apart from ferrari of course...

Merc is future championship car. They have constantly improved and next year or the year after that I'd be surprised if they weren't right there with other top teams. I don't think they will win any DWCs with schumacher though. Apparently the deal with merc and schumi is that schumi can basically decide all by himself if he wants to continue (that was said during finnish f1 broadcast so it could be wrong).

I'd be surprised if Massa continues with ferrari. He is driving like kovalainen was at mclaren. Constantly lacking in race pace and little behind in qualifying. Maybe massa needs to go to caterham for next season to find himself again? Heikki at least needs to get out from caterham. That car is not going anywhere.

Im not sure on your theory on Lotus, Genji Capital the company supplying finances is rich enough to stay in touch with the top teams, and apart from the diffuser failure of last year which hampered development they have looked to be worthy of the top teams, the car is definitely title contention material this year, just bad luck is getting in the way of the right results.

However it would still be a big leap of faith for Hamilton to go to Lotus, however I think if he moves team he will be a much better driver, he seems to have gone stale at Mclaren.

Another post race technical infringement where the driver gets to keep his position.

IMO you drive an illegal car it gets disqualified end of story, this can create dilemmas where people can purposely do it because they know they will only get a slap on the wrist once they get busted.

Quote from S3ANPukekoh3 :Hekki wasn't that bad was he?

Didn't he win a race or two? I remember him being on pole by almost half a second one race.

I thought the only reason he didn't stay another year was because Jenson moved to McLaren and Hekki had nowhere to go.

I'd really like to see him with a top team again.

nah he had his ass handed to him at Mclaren, he was definetly treated as a second driver though.

There is still plenty of Road courses, Power got screwed by that caution where as guys like RHR already pitted, the closing of the pits under caution is a stupid rule.

Wonder if Wilson and Bourdais will be able to stay up the front.

Don't get me wrong though, im for open Engine Regs, and if someone gets left behind then so be it.

Apparently this might help Reliability though because they are lowering the boost, because the engine failures this year have been quite extreme(every race numerous people have to get a new one).
