Ignore this, I fixed the problem.

I deleted the CFG file from LFS root folder and let teh game create a fresh one after wich i was able to runthe alarm no problem, turned out the config line that said "Game Admin" in my file it was
"Game Admin ADMIN"

So I deleted the word ADMIN all is fine

Some of the best apps were made by people who just made themfor the hell of it

I have problem though.

I join a server and type /insim 29999 then I run the app
when I run the app I get message admin password does not match the host password.

I dont understand why this is, as the passwords are not used.
Anyhow in game i can still click ctrl+alt+Z and hear the blips but I get no message and the alarm system does not seem to function, I assume because of my admin password problem that come up.
The admin pass error shows up on the app and in text in the server too.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong if anything ?

I need a 64bit compatible version of the latest lapper mod, could anybody please help?

A possible fingerpoint or a recompile please.

I have a dedicated server 2003 unit in germany i host lfs from.
I can run the lapper mod from my home pc in england and connect to the server remote, it works fine, but if i put the lapper files on the server machine itself and try to run it from the server ,machine, i get the following error when i join the game and type !start the lapper goes right back to standby mode.

In 3 years i have not been able to get any version of lapper working from my server 2003 machine :-S this is the 1st time i see a error report with version 5.846

I would reccomend a full virus scan of your pc, then use spybot search and destroy then clean the registry then spybot again and check start up processes remove the bad ones. then clean registry again.

open up your task manager processes window and search the name of each process at processlibrary.com to find out if it is bad or not.


Dont click on random links ppl send you in msn or any other program, dont download and install programs that you dont know are legit or not.

Dont go on porn sites, dont go on crack, cheat sites, dont go on any site for that matter unless it is a worldwide publically used and recognized site.

Never enter username or password details for any game into any other site apart from the originlas for the games.

Folow these simple steps and you may not lose further accounts in future.

And also dont lend your s2 details to ya mate dave who lives down the road.

I too can not drive that car with mouse ^^

Because this server is not likely to have more than 5 players on at 1 time.
And if its a big track then the better.
Earlier about 5 of us were doing hotlaps, there was not many times when we saw each other but when we did we all passed safely.

I had a nice few hotlaps that were not interrupted except for when I crashed out all by myself ^^

I guess there will be times when people dont use common sense and cause an accident, hopefully they can learn from that apologize and move on with a bit more exp.

I got familiar with the track pretty quick and there is no layout added.

I am going to review settings just realised there is no wrong way kick.
As a guy came hurtling at me ^^.

In a typical race server you have not got time to learn the tracks It would be better to get practice on them first before trying to race them or people will just have a 1st corner argy bargy turning into a rage fest lol.

You will not be kicked for crashing by accident.

Use any car you wish, players are also allowed to change track so if u get there 1st you can choose ^^

This server however will not prepare you for the rules systems in other servers, its just a place you can master your cornering in a relaxed atmosphere no threat of being kicked for not following rules you neglected to read.

If you joined a pro server who gave you a set and told you to practice offline, you could instead use this server for your practice.

There is no mods of any kind running on this server.

There are probably a few servers for this allready.... well now there is 1 more at least its not another cruise ^^

Im sorry guys, my 1st post as an S2 racer and i turn half the lfs communtiy against myself

+1 from me.

On the web panels that allow you to view inside the servers it is possible to click on peoples cars i beleive, but tabbing out of game and loading that up would take too long.

This is definetly a reasonable suggestion you have made.

Teamspeak has an easy to use interface quite user friendly.
It is free to host upto 10 servers with 1000 slots spead across those 10.

You can host this yourself for free or you can find many free TS hosters out there.

Ventrilo you can host yourself but with limit of 8 people unless you pay for a server, also the user interface is not very user friendly in regards to noobies. However the voice clarity is excellent.

Mumble, interesting software is mumble It is complex to learn the permission system and hard to add users, but it has voice quality that possibly rivals ventrilo and its free to host with a default capacity of 50 users. However I found some vista users had problems with internet explorer becoming laggy with mumble.

I actually host 1 of each of the above servers.

Well actually I host 10 TS servers and 1 vent and 1 mumble.

I would recommend TeamSpeak., its simple effective and can make decent rank/permission structure quite easily.

However I spent 4 years using and hosting and protecting TeamSpeak servers, You should probably get somebody who knows about it to assist you with basic server setup, security etc.

I can vouch for it as being 100% stable server and client side.

As for mumble and vent I have not really used them enough to tell you if they are suitable for your needs.

My very 1st go on this game was at my friends home, he had wheel and pedals etc and it was like 5 yeasr ago.

2 years later i got my own pc and got LFS.

Only then did I realise "crap, I got no wheel and pedals what do I do"

Started using the mouse to steer.
After a few days of cursing in the voice of muttley the dog I finally became one with my mouse.

I now drive with mouse better than some people do with steering wheel.
I would not trade it for a wheel lol.

I spent 14 years driving in real life and to work so much on pedals and wheel for me on a game would be to physically demanding.

Driving is fun until it becomes your job ^^

After wich driving becomes a chore and You certainly dont want to relax by pushing more pedals in your leisure time hehe.
Talk about knee cramp OUCH!

However the mouse is taking its toll my left thumb is locking up and aching lool. I dont know why I dont even use it in game but i guess its how it is rested against the keyboard when my left hand changes gears (keys)

I tend to become 1 with my samurai sword and practice in the back garden some swordsmanship.

Surprisingly relaxing.

But I dont think the washing line can take much more accidental hits so a squidgy ball may be in order.
