I don't like the lens flare but I agree with you that increase the good taste of the screen. As in videos, the lens flare, changes almost everything in a video, transforming into a musical clip and immersing to the espectator on the atmosphere of the video.

Your screen means the atmosphere of Live for Speed resulting in a total immersion in a race or championship and when you leave the game you become to real life, such a dream.

This guy is a very talented man. Sorry but I love your work a lot really.

Undoubtly when this work it is available I will download it.

This is just a suggestion, smove. In my humble opinion, of course:

I think there are a difference on the level between the main menu and the rest. I'm totally sure you can improve that screen to make it more original with elements such the rest of screens. The rest of screens are just perfect.

Ps: Is the gras file same for every track, meaning that it would be possible to have that awesome grass on every track in LFS?

I'm working on two textures for the grass (I think are the 60% of the track).

One has flowers and the second hasn't. Anyway there are two files more to work to made more variety.

In the current work (two files) there are a lot of variety without "repeating style" as I said in the blog. Degraded parts, more greens, less greens, some parts where you can find the sand,etc.

Just working in it in my free time. Really I don't know how many time I will need the release of this work. The development is extremelly slow because I want make my better work and explore all the limits inside of the "LFS system". I know that it's just textures but I think with some optical effects and working very well in the illumination I can get good results. The proof are the photos, hehehehe.

I want finish this work as soon as possible but the time and quality are bad friends. More quality = more time.

This work is very old and even the philosophy, concept and design, today are obsolete.

The better option, no doubt, is the smove's Backgrounds when his work is released, of course. His philosophy has better results on all resolutions and the design and concept gives a new fresh air.

The most dificult file I've worked in this 3 years of the Rev Packs. The grass. The grass is the 80% of the Track and make a lot of tones and to make it varied is the most difficult thing that I made.

Well, I'm working on the grass now and it is more complex. I have to fit 8 files.

Same saturation, same gamma colors, same color for the sand and same range color for the grass(in nature there are a lot of green colors).

Lynce is setting the new level here and if I were Lynce I wouldn't downscale on the textures because of some people not liking it because of some performance issues (I assume). I wish the LFS developers would think the same and moved on...

Thank you, Bose. 4096 x 4096 is the new standard, of course. There are textures that does no need to be in that size, of course, because it cover small surfaces.

Note: This texture has been reworked from scratch using the same texture than the last picture(I mean the picture from the post number 35). I need to remove the rocks on the edge to make a compatibility with the edge of the latest work. Obviously if you see the pic you can see that is the same than the published work but to increase the quality(previous in 2048 x 2048) it needs to be re-worked from scratch.

Hahahahaha, well. As always i'll be honest with everybody. I don't know if I can made something interesting. I'll try it and put a lot of effort to get it.

I only made a lot of tests on the rally zone(sand) and the rocks. I think I can make a very realistic rocks for Fern Bay. About the sand I'm not sure at all but I think will follow the same line of the tarmac, more resolution and more realistic. In this thread there are one shot with one example:

I don't know if this texture could be the final file. I will try to improve that shot. I always think if it is possible improve my current work, I recognize I'm extremely perfeccionist.
