It's either the S500 or the S800 then. I'm committing myself: Honda S800 Roadster.

Opel Kadett?

edit: I'm withdrawing that answer. I just checked and it's not a Kadett ...

hehe. didn't know that it was that hard

you're all wrong

some hints: it's italian. it's from 1971.

and the company that made it also made a very famous, very different, very small car which was introduced in italy in 1954. it was also licensed built buy BMW and that version became much better known than the original.

not sure if that helps

I bet it's rather lightweight, then and 6 cyl 4.1 l doesn't sound exactly underpowered

Quote from hrtburnout :A Nissan Sunny? I have no clue at all

Maybe so, but you got it right nonetheless

btw: I used to own that beast. 1.5, 75 hp engine with automatic transmission. Not the fastest horse in the world but the overview in it was great

Your turn, hrtburnout!

OK. Maybe it is too hard (and maybe the ambition to find out what exactly this fabulous car is, is not too big ).

So here's a better pic. Hope that helps.

Edit: Forgot to say: It's actually a little different version, probs a tad later model than the previous one, but still the same model.

Japan is the right direction, but so far: no.

Cool, I got something right

So it's my turn to post then. Here it is, and it might be a little hard (but what do I know). In case it's really too tough, I can always post a pic where one can actually see the car

I'd say it's the Mercedes GL.

(I didn't think those lame attempts to mask prototypes would work, but apparently, they do ...)

I'm late, but I'm in

And to me historic means, not necessarily dead but not racing anymore. But according to some (one?) of the avatars it obvioulsy can also mean not racing formula 1 anymore

Edit: I just watched the video and had to remove both of the smileys. that video really made me sad

Quote from anbiddulph :just think, you will be able to play this for the rest of your life...

Yeah, but it will be hard to find populated servers once S3 is out .

But don't worry, DavidSS, you'll still be able to play S2 for a few of years. And: Welcome .

Quote from keiran :Montoya would have made the corner had Rosberg backed out. Would have made it even with Rosberg beside him had he not had to hit the kerb so hard.

How do you know? Clearvoyance, maybe?

And besides, it's really funny how ppl claim things like "every real racer would say blah-blah". That is simply not true. I read comments of real racers stating one thing while others state the opposite regarding this incident . So there goes your "every". Nonetheless I think it discussions like this make ppl more aware, which is all you can ask for as in the end opinions will still differ.

I for one know that I'm often too cautious on overtaking and actually had someone once, quite some time ago, after we had a nice race, say to me that I need to be more aggressive and that I should not have backed off on a certain occasion when he tried to pass me. Problem was, I knew he was way faster than me, and I hadn't realized that he was just playing around with me, sort of testing me out. So, yeah, I'm working on that - if only I had more time to race .

Another thought just crossed my mind when I was walking the dog:

Montoya is pretty far on the inside approaching the turn, which therefore was pretty sharp for him, much sharper than for Rosberg, obviously. Yet, Montoya was going the same speed if not faster than Rosberg all the way into the turn. So, the question would be, how could that possibly work out? I guess it couldn't and I therefore think, Montoya was going too fast and was way too optimistic in attempting to pass there.

Quote from Becky Rose :(...) I would ask if you see someone behaving like this toward one of the few women online that you stick your neck out on the line and verbally slap the up-tight-virgin down because I for one could use a little moral support against this kind of behaviour when it happens.

You got my support. In case I see stuff like that happen, I'll definitely do my best to stop it.

I would do the same for a boy, of course .

Edit: yep, as spudster said, iB the replay and I'm sure most server owners will ban that idiot. Here's the link: http://www.teamccuk.com/wreck/

It's not OT. That's exactly what this thread is about: Overtaking.

And I must say, Rosberg really did not give much room, but if Montoya had turned in a little more (which he probably tried but couldn't due to the curb which unsettled his car), there would have been just barely enough room for both of them. So, yeah, racing incident, of course. But that was clear all along, as the incident never was under investigation.

Quote from Vain :I just thought of a phrase that pretty much sums it up: It's the difference between using and loving a car.

Vain

Or how about this: It's the difference between driving and pampering a car.

Quote from ayrton senna 87 :more proof that it is slow guys in T1 that cause the accidents

http://www.dragon-karting.com/tempimages/flip.mpg

put that in real player, and see the guy who rolls has to swerve to avoid the slow guy.

i would have rammed him personally, instead of swerving.

lol. it seems you're a little obesessed with slow guys causing accidents .

but honestly, I'd say it's the 71 causing the accident. He wasn't paying close enough attention to the guy in front of him, and when he noticed that he was about to hit him, he swerved too violently and hit the guy next to him. as a result he flipped. it looks as though the slow guy in the blue overall was only trying to avoid the one with yellow helmet who was all over the track. But of course, I'm not a real race driver, so what do I know

First of all, LFB in real Life is not dangerous at all. As was said before, if you've gotten used to it, it's just as safe as RFB. Taxi drivers do it all the time to stress both sides of the body a little more evenly (erm, bad example as far as safety goes - Taxi drivers are dangerous ). I used to LFB all the time in my good old automatic Nissan Sunny, but I don't do it anymore as my good old Audi 80 has manual gear box (measly four gears, actually). In LFS I LFB as I feel it is much easier and faster, as said before.

About heel-toeing in LFS: I don't know if it's just me, but I don't think it would be very effective, as there's virtually no way I could get my right foot on the gas-pedal properly and controlled while fully pushing the breaks. Might be that I'm not loose-jointed enough (very likely) or I need to set up the pedals on my FFGP differently, so that I would have full break power when the pedal is only half compressed, or something - don't know, but I guess I'll keep LFB. Unless I should get a clutch pedal or the G25 one day (not very likely) .

Just to light ppl up a little:

Here's a girl currently keeping me from playing LFS (see attached pic).

And before anyone starts to make silly jokes referring to weird sexual behavior: no, she is not my girlfriend, just a girl and a friend. And I'm sure, my human girlfriend (no pictures will be posted) wouldn't approve on anything further - and neither would I .
