If anyone is interested - I've attached my FXR setup. The tyres get a little hot at the start (~111°) but from ~lap 9 on they settle at fairly nice temperatures. As fuel decreases the setup gets faster.
My best with this one is a 2:34.00 - but with less fuel in the tank I'm sure it can get to 2:33's. Without ballast you'll probably reach 2:32's.
Got a 2:35.20 with a fully fueled, restricted and ballasted FXR. I guess it will go down to 2:34.7 or so. I'm taking it pretty safe through the two chicanes.
As far as I know it's fine when LFS accepts the pitstop (you can see that when you press F12). I guess if you want to be 100% sure you can just set it so that 1% fuel is added (doesn't take long).
"In endurance races the playing field is leveled somewhat, as the FXO GTR is easier on its tires than the other two GTR cars and has superior fuel economy."
Although it felt more like hotlapping - I guess if the second restart would've worked it would've been much more interesting (Yann had a much better start there than I).
I'd probably join but Tuesday 9 pm UTC means 11 pm here and that's a bit late for me (I need my beauty sleep else I'm not able to solve Bundle Adjustments the next day :/ ).
Nah - to be serious: Seeing as the tyres lasted long enough and a pitstop really throws you way back if it takes too long I was curious if it's possible to just put some gas in and be go (and I'll probably also attempt it in the last round - tyres permitting).
