Well alot of you guys make valid points. First of all. I'm using DFGT with sequential shift. So the stick shift will be a little slower. I'm not using any LFS timer to do this I'm calculating it roughly with the 1 mississippi rule. I was using mph and I have been since day one. And I didnt really expect it to drive like the BMW I'm going to buy i was just trying to get rough estimate. I know the in the sedan trim I'm going to buy does 0-60 in mid 7's-low 8's. I'm going to try this again with a timer and double check all my data to make sure its correct. I will try to put up a video but I dont know much about fraps so I will see what I can do.

Gearing was left at default. As was torque however even at default theres no way this car should be able to do 4 second 0-60. Without the added weight and restricted horsepower it will probably do 3 seconds. Most Ferrari's have trouble matching that.
0-60 times.

Is it just me or are the 0-60 times in this game extremely fast. I have noticed this before but just a few moments ago I used some restrictions on the XRT because I plan to buy a BMW 328i in the next few months. So I set up the XRT for 190bhp, and 3115lbs. Roughly the same power and weight of the BMW just to get an idea of how the BMW would drive when I buy it. I stopped the car on the strait away to see what the times would be like and from a dead stop the XRT did 0-60 in roughly 4 seconds every time. To me is seems like at full power it should only do it about 5.8 seconds max. Is there a reason for this or is it a bug?

Whats wrong with trucks? Wouldnt the Ram SRT-10 be fun to drive with the 510bhp viper V10 engine. The new supercharged Toyota Tundra Will do 0-60 in 4 seconds. Sprint cars is a great idea although I dont think we need them at this particular moment. GoKarts would be fun as well.

Yeah that is an excellent idea as well. It could even possibly be a completely different thing as well. Variety is a good thing I think so we should have alot of variety. Road cars, tuners, GTR, supercars, rally cars, trucks, F1, and possibly even concepts would be cool to have. And the tuner cars would be great for drifting and racing.

Quote from wheel4hummer :The XJ220 would be an excellent car to have in LFS. Throw in an Maserati MC12 to compete with it, and we're set.

I dont know about that one. The XJ220 is fast but I think the MC12 would just blow it away without a problem. Although the Carrera would be a good car to compete with it. How about the new supercar from right here in my home country. The SSC Ultimate Aero is currently the fastest car in the world and looks alot more track worthy then the Veyron. Although I could be wrong.

First of all, this is general LFS discussion, this is not a suggestion thread, simply a question. Secondly, after a search I found no other threads specifically about supercars ANYWHERE on the forum. Perhaps some of you should try a search yourself before telling others to.

And yes, most ppl do stick with the slower cars, or easier to handle. I myself love to drive the FZ5 and the Sauber. I dont think more variaty would hurt the game, and ppl may not drive the supercars because they are too complicated but I'm sure there are ppl here who would like to. And LFS will never be like other racing games out there, becuase this is not a game, its a simulator and a damn good one at that. By saying that we shouldnt have these types of cars you are limiting LFS. A simulator can never be the best it can be if it has limits set by ppl who say "We cant have supercars becuase I think they are too hard to drive."
Why no supercars?

Well, one thing LFS dosent have, that we would all love, is supercars. I like lfs just how it is but wouldn't it be so much fun to shoot around the track in an enzo, diablo, XJ220, ZR1 or something of that sort.

Supercars are something that almost every car and driving enthusuist loves, and would love a chance to take it for a spin around the track. So why not put something in like that? Even if it is fictional that would be fine with me.

Make up some kind of 500hp streamlined beast that does 0-60 in 3 seconds and tops out at 200 mph with awesome handling and a roaring V10 engine. What supercars would you like to see in lfs? Does anyone have ideas for a fictional supercar that you would like to share?

Well actually it looks like a GTR would have more downforce then a corvette, and yeah slicks are faster, but the Z06 has 15 more horsepower then the GTR cars so I would guess on a pretty even match.

Quote from Jakg :So a Road Car would demolish a GTR or the FO8?

(hint - no)

actually, the corvette Z06 has a max speed of almost 200 mph, getting it to reach that speed might be hard, although considering the F08 and the GTR top out at around an average of 165, depending on the set, it would put up a hell of a fight.

Also people seem to forget the CORVETTE is also a muscle car and everyone loves that

I would like to see a corvette in this game, would be so much fun. It would have to be an old stingray though or something of the sort. Adding a new corvette would just demolish anything in this game except the bf1.

I really think that the reason most ppl think they handle bad is becuz your used to running front wheel drive light weight cars into the corner full throttle. A powerful real wheel drive car cant do that, no matter who makes it, its just takes practice and skill, and yes some of the old american boats like the old charger are way to prone to roll and understeer, but old mustangs and the 80's camaros are small and twords the lighter side and handle much better then those giant cars.

Quote from Lateralus :This is coming from someone who can't even spell the name of his home state correctly. You are a walking stereotype of a dumbassed American. Please, just stop posting. Go sit in the corner with your dunce hat on.

I'm srry how am I a stereotype? And lmao I'm a dumbassed American? How do you figure? And btw, I know my state is spelled wrong, Havent changed it yet and wth does spelling have to do with cars? I got a great idea for you my freind, run really really fast twoards the end of a cliff and dont stop till you hit the bottom.

Amazing how everyone thinks american cars suck... lol. How many of you have actually driven one? And how many of you are just going on what everyone else says? And I lol'ed at the guy who said they are slow. Have u ever seen a viper go 0-60 in 3.8 seconds. That slow? I've seen videos of vipers keeping right up with ferrari's with no problem, and btw, they handle pretty well too . As for those who think they just understeer all over the place, You do realize that a 400 bhp bmw will do this as well? Its not about the car but about the skill of the driver, and idk why everyone yells that they handle horribly, because honestly, unless you have drove an american car, how the hell do you know how it handles. I've never had a problem handling an american car. No it dosent handle like an evo or a miata, but it will sure as hell keep up. Any idiot can floor a high horse power car around a bend and slam it into a wall. I really dont think half of you have the skill to drive one and thats why you think they cant handle. Basically, if you dont know what your talkin about, and half you dont, shut ur trap and actually go drive one.

As for the muscle cars i would like to see in lfs

1967 shelby gt500

Ford GT40(i know, more of a supercar)

2007 corvette Z06(also considered a supercar, but would love to smoke these ppl that think american cars suck, and believe me, it will)

2005 mustang cobra

1968 camaro ss

and others, but this post is rather long as it is.

Actually the whole reason i posted this was because I had posted one before asking for advice on what I should get, and this is up just to show those who did read that post and post replies what i chose, and sure, in a year ill post pictures of the car to show that there isnt even a scratch on it. And actually, I never have even scratched a car...

Never said I was the best driver. However I just know that when it comes to it I can drive this car without a problem. Although most drivers my age couldn't. I can just because I do have experience driving most types of cars. I think most ppl here think ima just put it to the floor at every green light see how fast i can make it to the next one.

And btw ajp, a few dark nights on the highway dosent have anything to do with drag racing...

ajp, just curious, when did i say i was taking it to illegal drag races? I've been driving on roads for nearly two years, have drove manual transmissions, have already driven at high speeds with no trouble whatsoever, and yes, camaro's do not handle well, but it will, and especially with better suspension, handle better then most cars I have drove.

Oh, and had you read the previous post, you would have saw that I'm choosing the 6 speed manual transmission.

I agree completely with you, most young males in a high performance car is a very bad combination, however i consider myself a responsible driver and if u would read my above post, you will find that i said just because it can go 0-60 in 6 seconds dosent mean that it has too. Which means it will be drove as a car, not as a race car. (except maybe a few dark nights on the highway!). As for it being horrible in corners, i already know this and plan to change suspension, and anything else i can to make it better in the corners then a stock camaro.

As for the company, you can research it here for anyone who wants information.

Not an attitude as i said, ive driven many cars before. And although the camaro will be a new one i will have to master, I will do it, and it wont take long. Just because u think age has something to do with driving, yes, skill does come with practice, although you dont know anyting about me, perhaps ive drove cars with twice the power of a camaro, what is it that makes you think that just because im young I cant handle it. Again, ignorance on your part.

Quote from Rustic-Imposter :I stand right with ya buddy.
Your a joke of a person to even think you will be able to drive that thing. Buy an old civic or something until you stop bumping into stuff, THAN buy the car of your dreams.
Big torque + live rear axle + zero dynamic ability + useless driver = fail.
A bit blunt but it may save your live.

sir, u are quite ignorant, i have been driving different cars since i was 13 years old, and yes, i can, and will, handle it as well as anyone else in here.

well as for power to weigh ratio, i agree, the power to weight is better, however at a starting price of 34,300 American dollars, ill stick with the camaro for 15,000 or less. the revs, im not sure, would have to find it. And for the job, since they are growing so fast they are hiring pretty much anyone who applys, and my mom does the payroll there, so i have a bit of an advantage over other ppl
