Hello all LFS -drivers!

I'm pleased to introduce you a new racing league - Nordic Wind League (NoWL).

The league brings new kind of racing to Live for Speed, by different race types, qualifying, tracks and much more.
At the beginning we will have couple of test races to see how our stuff works, see how popular this is going to be etc.
We're planning to produce 4-5 series' in a year, and the first series will start in this spring. The main difference between NoWL and other leagues is likely that we have money prizes in most of our series'.

The first series is The Quarter Ton Competition (aka. TQTC). As you can see from the name, the winner will have 250 € prize.
Signing up and racing in this series is free. You can check more information about TQTC from NoWL's website. There you can sign up for races and series',
check what new is happening in NoWL, what is coming up, view the results..

The website is on its very beginning but I suppose you will find there what you're searching for.

I think that test races are going to be quite "normal" races, but that's just for the start.

I understand your opinion but please think be4 blaming me of thing that was pure accident as u see if u watch the replay. I've never ever meant any of contacts that happen between me and others, that's the truth. After all I'm sorry for what happened, but thanks for posting that "well-descriptive" pic anyway.

Ah.. you weren't the only one who hit us, so that didn't actually matter. Our race went wrong 'cos our setup was made for "no wind"-situation and we left about 10 kmph to every car at straights. That's why our races was a bit disaster.

And I apologize to someone (I can't remember who it was) who was crashed by me in the Qualifying Heat Race at straight-angle turn after long straight. I just saw that he went on his roof but I heard afterwards that he fortunately could go on.

Ok, I'm sorry for my failures today, but they're quite usual when you try to work something. I know that rik97 doesn't really care about this but password was meant only for signed-up players. It's usual and unwritten rule that you cannot give passwords to others.

That's why I have to think again confirmating your sign-up.

Tomorrow we try again at 18:00 UTC as it was meant to do today too, but I failed and I had written race to begin at 17:00 UTC. You're welcome to join but if there's not much people, serie will be finished before it even started.

So the race is on Monday 29th August at 18:00 UTC.

Dear LFS players,

I'd like to introduce you my (a bit different) serie, Ski Jumping -competition. This is the first serie that I produce so this is good as a training for my bigger plans in the next winter.

An idea of this serie is quite simple. I've made layouts where you can jump by your car and he who makes the best score, wins. There will be 3 competitions in different layouts (I will load them here as soon as possible).

We have three judges who will estimate landingstyles. Style points will be between 1 and 20. There is not exactly the right way make landing, judges will say only their personal opinion to: "how cool/beautiful etc. was the landing?". We'll verify the lenght of the jump from replays, so it takes few minutes to get final results.

Judges:

1. S.Anttonen (_coca-cola_)
2. J.Timonen (lone1)
3. S.Jurvansuu (Joku123]


In the race will be 2 rounds. Points for both rounds will be counted together and player with most points will be the winner.

Point System:

1. 2 times lenght of the jump

For example if you jump 60 meters you will get 120 points for it. (2x60=120)

2. Points given by judges:

For exmpl.: The first judge gives 15, the second 14,5 and the third 13.

The highest and lowest style scores are disregarded, with the remaining one score added to the distance score.

3. Finally we'll count all points together (120+14,5=134,5)

Edit: Had to edit 'cos I realized that jumper will get too much points per jump.

Rules:

1. Don't talk in chat when the competition is running.

2. When you've made your performance, you must join spectators in 10 seconds.

3. Don't get on the track before server admin has said your name.

4. Judge's word is peremptory.

5. You must be in the server before the competition starts.

6. Meaning of this serie is to have fun so don't take this too seriously, please.

7. You must have your number in your skin.
