Quote from [RCG]Boosted :tried the windows repair function?
maybe something is messed up.

I'm a bit rusty in computing, so my memory is a bit blank. Where can I find the Windows Repairs Function?
PC rebooting during minimize on games.

Here are my specs. Athlon 3500+ 64 Bit Motherboard Socket 939 *can't remember the name* 2GB RAM PC3200 I've had this pc for around a while now, couple of months in. This has been going on for a while now, and I haven't decided to deal with it until today, because I wasn't playing LFS at the time, and wasn't a big deal then. Now I have decided to deal with it, because it ruined me an enjoyable ATC GP race, because LFS minimized itself when I got a warning that the GPU was running a bit hotter than usual *room was a bit stuffy* Every time, I try to minimze or exit a game *Rainbow 6 in particular* the game would automatically reboot itself. I rarely get a "Error Send Report" come up, so I can't really give you a detail on what the problem is exactly of whats causing it. Any ideas what the problem may be?

Quote from The Moose :I'm really struggling to find a way to keep my right front tire temp down. If i drive conservatively enough to keep the temp down enough with my current setup I'm miles off the pace.

Anyone care to give me any tips? And what sort of strategy do you guys use pit stop wise?

I'm just totally n00b like when it comes to GP length races in the XFR in LFS. I realise you prob don't want to give too much away, but a few pointers in the right direction would help a lot

Being smooth is important, period, that goes for all cars really. Try not to go foot down on the brakes and accelerator, because you'll give your right front a hard time keeping the tyres cool for the race. Try not to touch the barriers either, it can be costly.

Excellent, this will spice things up a bit .

Should we have a safety car involved due to the track we are using, that involves a lot of barriers, and a great possibility of a t1 carnage on first lap?

Why would virgin.net try to traffic my connection speeds?
Broadband help.
BigDave2967

This has been going on for a couple of months now. Since late October '06, mostly evenings, the internet connection speeds would slow down to at least a dial up speed. (12 - 45 kb) until early mornings. I would get decent broadband speed. 2.2mb. But because of the speeds I'm getting. I'm thinking of taking my business elsewhere to another company with broadband. Virgin.net keeps claiming that because so many customers are on after such and such, I'm starting to think its bull. Because with that many customers on 6 months ago before the slow connections, I still had a great speed connection. Can anyone assist which broadband company is recommended, or a way to solve this slow connection problem? Thanks

Quote from CSU1 :You are right, some of the internal gears may have slipped.
However if it bothers you that much and you dont want to resort to *surgery*, you could use your DFP profile manager/windows callibration to callibrate it slightly off centre in the opposite direction,(ie: holding the wheel off centre in the opposite direction, then click callibrate) it would probably take two or three goes to get it dead centre, but shoild work

How do I do that? I was unaware of that option. Where can I find it on DFP Profiler?
Looking for a team.

Hello. I race under the name. "The End" feel free to check my stats. I just recently started racing again after watching the F1 season start off last week. I have been in various leagues, but unable to fit in due to schedules. But now thats cleared. I'm a free agent! Feel free to post your teams links on here if you have a vacancy you'd like to fill. I have raced for MG, ITEK, and Fusion, so I do have plenty of racing experience under my belt. Dave
DFP Calibration problem.

This has been going on for a while now. I got this DFP in May last year, so that sticks the warranty out of the frying pan, so I'm willing to go a bit extreme on it *DFP Surgery* I have a feeling that the wheel calibration, inside has moved a few inches, so the wheel thinks that its going straight during a straight line, but the wheel is slightly sqiunt to the left, and kinda bothers me a bit when racing. I tried game settings, lfs settings, to set the calibration right, but to no success, could anyone assist on how I can fix this calibration problem?

And defenately not on the General LFS discussion section...

Heh, thanks for the heads up. Feel free mods to move this or delete it. Any is fine.
