Yes, he knows how to move the wheel, but that's all there is to it. Fake.

And if it involves slickmod, people can't be arsed to DL an older version of LFS (Slickmod doesn't work in V).

I thought it's downloaded from the server in online games?

I think I'll change my racername to [TEAM] Player...

We're halfway there, since rubber build up is implemented visually already :P

Anyway... some sort of dynamic grip should be implemented at some point anyway, for example to give more grip in areas that have dried out after a rain. Not to mention oil slicks

I wonder how much CPU power these things would take though.

You mean, of all the training missions? This would be cool indeed

Doesn't seem very useful to me - after fiddling with the editor, it seems Scawen has already found the best settings for each car. It's the sound engine that sucks.

Quote from mrodgers :Batterypark, once you get into a rythm, it doesn't take too long to make some cash to upgrade.

Yeah, I know... but just today I loaned 3700€ to someone, leaving me with around 2000€. I have an XR now though... which I almost lost, due to some doritos.

I agree with you 100%. Personally I think LFS should remain the way it is, but I'd love to see the marvellous physics engine in other games as well.

You could also implement it physically on your wheel the same way it's done in most cars

Do that to your real car's license plate and see what the militsiya thinks about it...

I see my own hand moving when I shift... I can't even imagine driving with either the wheel or the driver visible in LFS - I already see one of each in front of the monitor

I don't know how common account takeovers are in LFS, but I think it would be a good thing if

1) Every time S1/S2 content is unlocked with your account, you would receive an email notification, perhaps including the IP address of the user who unlocked.

2) Every time your email address is changed, you would receive a notification to the original address.

3) The "Print important details" form would require another password check. This way, if I forget to log myself out, nobody could see both my passwords without needing to know either of them.

Just thinking. Feel free to shoot down my ideas.

wings on street cars are stupid

they server no purpose, why do you need adjustable downforce on a street car.

Usually the factory setup provides enough downforce (if any is needed in the first place), but if you want to take your street car onto track days and such, you might want adjustable downforce to increase stability and grip at higher speeds. Then again, you might want to tone it down a bit to decrease fuel consumption when cruising at 70mph on a highway.
