Quote from [RCG]Boosted :Well best thing to do would be in Fact to build it yourself.
Since its Idiot Proof (every part only fits in one particular Spot) and there are Guides for Beginners i would give it a Shot.
That way you will get a much better System.
For Example my current Rig (700€):

CPU: AMD FX 8350 8x 4.00 GHZ
Ram: 8GB (2x 4096MB) G.Skill RipJawsX DDR3-2133
PSU: 630 Watt be quiet! (OP i know...but prepared for Upgrades!)
HDD: 240 GB Kingston SSD
Mainboard: Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0 AMD 970 So.AM3+
GPU: 2048MB KFA2 GeForce GTX 960 Black Edition
And a Budget PC Case for about 40€.

If you buy a System like this pre-build, you will end up with a Bill up to 1000€.

There are just 2 Things to note...do not use heavy Force and be sure that you are not static charged (sp? Big grin).

I could even give you a helping hand picking out the right Parts if you are up for it.

Thanks mate, you've been very helpful!

I might take up on your offer with choosing components! Wink

Your current rig looks spot on!

Thanks,
Kev

Quote from Gutholz :Hm, the graphic card on that PC is listed as "RADEON R7 250 2GB"
It is bit bad about the site that they do not give more detail about the components in PC. Or maybe I fail to find it.
If you click it on the list then directs to their "video card guide" and there is not much info either: http://www.custompc.ie/video-card-guide-3-w.asp
Also the picture there is of a card with 1GB memory, not 2GB:

In components store they also have this card, maybe it it this one then:
http://www.custompc.ie/sapphire-2gb-radeon-r7-250-boost-236716-p.asp

However, both cards have no display-port, they have only: HDMI , VGA & DVI
If you maybe want to connect three screens then that will not work, even if the graphiccard has 3 outputs, even with adapters. As soon as you use more than 2 screen at least one monitor must be connected to displayport.

Appreciate the advice Thumbs up

Would you have any other suggestions in terms of gaming PC's? Ideally looking at a prebuilt system.

Quote from [RCG]Boosted :Are PC's in general expensive over there or is it just because its Alienware?
Have a look here... http://www.custompc.ie/amd-fx-quad-core-black-edition-gaming-desktop-pc-133813-p.asp
Better Pricing imo.

With 8 GB ram (which is needed) its at 600€.

Thanks for your reply, greatly appreciated!

No particular reason why I looked at Alienware, looked like a tidy piece of kit for the price but saying that i don't know to much about gaming pc's specs etc.

The link you shared looks quite interesting! thanks for that

Hi All,

Looking to purchase a new gaming PC, preferably prebuilt and nothing overly expensive!

I wouldnt say by any means that I am a hardcore gamer but I do have an interest in MS FlightSimulatorX.

Also, I'm not the most technical when it comes to specs etc.

Please see specs below:

-Intel® Core™ i3-6100 (3M Cache, 3.70 GHz) Processor

-Windows 10 Home

-8GB Memory

-NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 745 with 4GB DDR3

http://www.alienware.ie/landings/desktops.aspx

Look forward to getting your opinions on this!

Thanks,
Kevin

Quote from aobrien :Yeah .. though i have exams this week :@

Ah you'll fly through them get the head down :-) the car still appears to be usable only lowered 40 mm ! I'll tell ye all when I get stuck on a speed ramp and need help or a need front bumper or sump ! I couldn't go any lower wouldn't want too either roads here are too bad, would coilovers make it a bit stiffer ? Bit bouncy bouncy with springs and there eibach !!! Not great too be honest.

Cheers mate, ya doing a small bit at the weekends haven't been on in a week or two again with racing and just started new job. Lads this thread isn't about rants or raves just about suggestions my apologies sinbad for going a bit over the top. It's not all about the " euro style" either lads just trying too make my car a bit different from all the others there's alot worst out there.

Quote from sinbad :In that case it has made little difference imo, the badges are not particularly fussy or ruining any lines, but then removal of them has not left too large a space glaringly obviously devoid of any accent or punctuation (as would be the case with removal of Audi grill badges.

Hasn't that car got a tow-bar on it anyway? I think "debadging" for sleek, smooth lines is a bit like pi$$ing in the wind

Only kidding, if it's yours you have a nice looking car, I like that colour. My brother used to have one in that blue, and it looked pretty mean at night

No towbar only badge that I took off is the RS4 badge thats what i plan too stay at. colour does look really well when clean but hard too I'll have too get a few more recent pics up. everything inside the car is standard seats, radio everything the only thing thats not is my "TOM TOM" lol

And yes we finally did get snow in Ireland . @ jakg ya I get alot off people flashing at me thinking it's my full beams, I would like too get the white light rather than blue/purple that I have, you know off any good kits ?

Lads yer all coming too a conclusion that I'm changing the car too a space shuttle off some sort im only doing a few small mods nothing spectacular, suggestions like no tints or tints I know it's a diesel I'm not trying too hide it why would I if i wanted a performance car i would off got one, I do lots and lots off mileage so a diesel is most sufficient...

also the car has a factory fitted Quattro kit not some sh*t plastic aftermarket bumpers it's pretty much a standard car besides wheels, suspension,HID conversion and lowering springs

I'm not trying too make it look like a RS4 either why would I ? the RS4 badge is gone ! still has front and back audi emblems and I don't plan on taking them off the wheels are not some cheap Halfords sh*te there original BBS split rims. Another thing I'm not putting neons, lexus lights or any off that on the car so stop with the stupid suggestions if you do not like the car thats your opinion so dont try and be funny with the stupid suggestions,as I said the car is staying pretty much the way it is now but I'm just asking for a few small affective mods no stupid cheap stuff just genuine stuff.

@Sinbad you don't seem too be familar with "euro style" and no I'm not a drug dealer, If I was I wouldnt be driving a 1.9 tdi Audi A4 worth about 4 or 5 pounds would I so less off the smart crap talk.. not very funny.

@Jakg you seem too know what I'm talking about, the rs4 badge was actually on the car when I bought it and pretty much took the pics straight away and wanted too get the badges removed properly without damaging the paint work, my 8000k bulbs seem too be a bit bright how do you find the 6000k ?

Cheers Jakg, ya it's debaged as in rs4 badge not front emblem though, must get it done! Also in the pics it's Parkers with spots not my hid's, I'm
using 8000k hid's. Tints are also gone must get some recent pictures up. Cheers jakg

Quote from hrtburnout :I prefer the wheels from your first post, to be honest. The silly bodykit makes it look cheap. If I were you'd I'd tune the engine, or replace it with the Phaeton's V10.

It's a quattro kit from the factory mate nothing cheap about it. @ aobrien ya that was me I was racing there:-) and dadge not changing lights lol recaro interior possibly on the way..

well hello lads,

I have had my Audi A4 for about half a year now bought the car pretty much standard and have done a few basic mods so far such as new wheels started off with the the RS6 wheels then changed again too BBS golf gti anniversery wheels, twin power flow exaust, HID light conversion, lowered it on 40 mm springs which I have just ordered coilovers, boot lid spoiler, semi tins on back 3 windows and german style plates and also a remap from 130 BHP too 170 BHP with a increase off 100 nm off torque.

basically the reason why I started this thread is for suggestions and do' and dont's because I know alot off ye are car entuasists and from the euro backround as in Germans etc and thats the look I'm going for as its really rare in Ireland it's more off a Jap seen here.

heres some pics off my car suggestions appreciated.

*new wheels are going too be 18" lambos with Tyre stretch too give a reall euro look*
