I'm running my server on a p1 233 oc'd at 320 or somthing like,512 megs of ram 2 gig hd & on a 5mb cable line.. Might upgrade it soon though,as I have a extra xp2800M cpu and some other hardware
Founded in 2002 and server is still up,although many left couple of years back and became Mercury,And the rest of us are cought up in rfactor,GTlegends,Track mania nations...
I've been typing commands into the dedi version of lfs for years,And I gotta say I am tired of it,And cant belive the devs havent upgraded the way the commands are inputed...
Its real nice to run a full copy of lfs as a server,But that doesnt work so well on a 266 pentium:P And like Vedetta says that only works good locally..
It's starting to get really irritating,That one has to type cars=mrt+blh+blh+bl+blh.I mean,Why cant we have a little admin menu, like when you hit N in game, there is a option for a remote admin to ban/change cars/what have you..???
All this typing ,to get something done in the server is getting a tad bit old,I also think that there should be differnt levels of admin parameters, that the server owner could set.... Maybe one could write a external program to do such things,But I dont belive it will be me..
I mostly hate the way they sound! If it wasnt for that f** muffler,I wouldnt have so much against them,I dont even like loud ass v-8's,very few v-8's and very few honduhs sound decent.. I think honduh boys were all titty babies when they were young,So there ricer's provide them with the comfort that they are to old to get from mommy now days... It really is sad. I drive a car with a 4 banger, cowl hood etc..,But with stock muffler,I am not out to draw attention to my self,Simply because I dont have tiny D*** syndrome... Any car's muffler that is above acertain DB level should be fined for improper equipment, but thats just one of those many laws that doesnt get enforced.. Edit: Honduhs are poor peoples economy cars
Awesome,Thanks for posting that,I love those vapochill units,The only thing I dont like is how much the compressor runs,Thats why I went with chilled water, use antifreeze to stop it from freezing up,But as of yesterday my compressor died cpu is hot,I'm not to happy about it....
any way,the compressor would cycle, once the thermostat got satisfied, water got cold enough,Gonna make a bong today me thinks..
That looks like a nice one to tear up I would imagine that the peltier in that unit would be a bit larger than the one I scraped,So when you get one up and running,Let me see what you used it on
(A) Using peltiers is not pointless,Because they allow you to acheive sub zero temps, good for overclockers (b)Huge power supply,My current peltier only pulls 3 amps off the 12v side,PS can handle about 30 amps,So even a 300 watt PS would handle this peltier (C) you dont have to worry about condensation if you insulate properly... Just dropping the temprature as much as I did on my gpu allowed me to push it even further.. So this little experiment was worth it..
I suppose that a phase change system is pointless as well? As that is what cools my cpu
Overclocking is one of my hobbies, and However I can lower tempratures,I'll do it
