World TBO Championship Series Championship Fight Comes to Fern Bay

World TBO Championship Series Championship Fight Comes to Fern Bay
-October 22nd 2011

Two weeks ago the World TBO Championship series was in Blackwood, and Elton Chong of Hong Kong had an eight point lead over Bosnia's Nikifor Dakovic. It looked as though it was going to be their day to shine once again as the two drivers started the race side by side in the front row, but from that point on it would prove to be anything but.

With Dakovic getting mired back in traffic in the first turn of the race, and Chong getting punted entering the first turn by a driver a few positions back who missed the turn (after an early race restart), the two were only able to muster finishes of fourth and seventh. This allowed Dakovic to close Chong's championship lead down to four points for this week's Fern Bay 300 at Fern Bay Gold (FE3).

Round number four out of six by many is marked down as the wild card race on the season schedule. The tight and unforgiving track should provide for plenty of yellow flag opportunities and in two places the chances of flipping the car over is rather high. Hitting these curbs in the wrong way is an easy way to make a bad day worse or a good day bad. Points may be dropped here just about as fast as what they can be gained should the championship contenders run into trouble.

This is also the longest event on the World TBO Championship Series schedule as far as distance at 300km and tires will definitely be a concern once again. These issues were minimal at Blackwood in the Blackwood 200, but will the tires hold up to 100 more kilometers?

Round number four of Realistic NASCAR's World TBO Championship Series begins at 15:30 GMT on Realistic NASCAR Server. Informations are in all participant's inboxes on LFS or requested e-mailing address. The race will be 57 laps and grid stacking is slated to begin at 16:05 GMT. The Fern Bay 300 is sure to pack a high amount of excitement!
