Monday 5th January in the evening was held the last round of LFS France's 2025 Xmas Open, which is a small RX type open ran during the winter season between 2 leagues seasons. Every event has a week of pre-qualification where the qualified drivers are divided in 2 groups between the odd and the even numbers to make 2 semis. Top contenders move in the final, while the rest end up in a small final. And then came the bonus race where everyone race in a reversed grid, prior to the pre-quali's order. Let's have a quick return on the 3 rounds that happened during the end of the year...

Round 1 : Dominant start of the Open for Derinus!
Despite being qualified only in 3rd behind 2 of his GUM team mates (King and Donald), Derinus still impressed the paddock on this first round. Win in his semi, win in the final, and win in the bonus race despite starting on the back, prior to the reverse grid! Impressive drive for the GUM Garage driver who didn't left a single crumb to his opponents. The Semi 2 has been won by a opportunistic Mitsu, in front of DLV and Tomfuel, while the small final saw a lot of great names in it... And these were the ones fighting with dominance for the win. To this game, System took the best from Meuh and Cyk who ended up fighting strong and clean for the second place! In final, Jouke and Donald were with Derinus on the podium, while DLV and Cyk were the ones behind the strong man of this round, at the bonus race.

Round 2 : Here comes the flying Swede, L.Rydh!
Another round, another car, another track, another driver dominance! This time, it was L.Rydh's dominance round. Same as Derinus on the first round, the Team Winners' driver didn't left a lot of crumbs to his opponents by scoring the most point possible. He won the first semi in front of King and System, while Derinus was getting the other semi in front of Donald and Lateglue. Then came the small final where Mitsu did its own show by striking a dominant win in front of NFR Thorghos who was scoring his very first career podium. What was even better for the NFR rookie, his dad, Nanex, got the last spot on the podium to accompany him on the podium! It must have been safe to say that Mrs. Nanex might have been very proud of them! And in the final, Rydh took a dominant win, almost 5 seconds on... Derinus! While King took the 3rd. Bonus race, another dominance from Rydh who pulled a 9s gap win, ahead of System and Vinz. In the overall, with 196 points, Derinus makes the best operation of the evening!

Round 3 : After the French and the Swede, here comes a flying Belgian!
While the paddock got impressed and somewhat scared by the venue of a RX expert in the person of MRc's TimDC, who's also know for having hosted MRc RX, where a certain Beniwiwi, knew under his real name of Steven Bossard, came to win in 2024. What the story didn't tell, it's thanks to Steven's idea that LFS France is having the RX managed that way and exisiting since the arriving of the open tracks on LFS. But TimDC wasn't the Belgian who dominated the last round, as returner R4R A3rox did the show and scored the most of points of the evening. In semi 1, Rydh showed that we could count on him this evening, while System and Proxima completed the podium. In semi 2, A3rox won in front of his countrymate TimDC, while the Open Leader, Derinus, got the last spot on the podium. In the small final, LeManchot did the perfect race to take the win in front of Nanex! KingOfIce got the last spot on the podium after a chaotic semi 1 for him. In the final, A3rox and Rydh had a great battle, but the Belgian had the last word for the win! Cyk got the last step on the podium after passing System on the very last meters of the race! On the bonus race, A3rox and Rydh did it again, same positions... And the funnier, it's that the whole top 3 was the same as the final, as the creator of the mod, Cyk, was again in 3rd, in front of TimDC!

In the overall rankings, Derinus is crowned for this 2025 Xmas Open! The GUM Garage driver did the job after a dominant first round, he was still in the fast lane for the second round, but suffered with the tires wear in the last round, and still scored enough point to remain first. The 2 LFS France's Mr Consistency, System and Donald, completes the top 3 of this Xmas Open! On the team side, it's of course the GUM Garage who end up in 1st, while NFR Team got second place in front of Texas Drivers.
Now it's time to pack the Christmas lights to the attic, and focus on the 2026 season arrival! Thanks for everyone involved to have again another successful Xmas Open!
