Yesterday evening at Aston, the French League's paddock was attending the 5th round of the "Ligue FR" hosted by LFS France. For this round, a very classic combo as been picked up, as the infamous LX4 was making it's return for the first time since 2021, at Aston National! After the usual month of pre-qualification, it's evidently KingOfIce who emerged on for the pole position. His closer rival on the championship standing, L.Rydh, obviously joined him on the first row, meanwhile Yorry grabbed 3rd in front of JSK. System and Donald were on 3rd row, in front of the last winner, Kip. Meuh was on his side, meanwhile Aposki and DLV were completing the top 10 on a grid of 18 qualified drivers. Infortunately, GUM's Daf was the one missing at the start after being held by IRL works duty, once again.

At the start, L.Rydh once again showed KingOfIce that he wasn't here for some tourism this season as he took the lead of the race after the first corner. Behind them, Yorry also took a decent start and was also included in the lead's fight with MRc's JSK. Infortunately less luck again for the returner GUM's Meuh, the 2021 champion again suffered of the turn 1's heat and dropped to 16th, when a couple of seconds later, Geraxi was flipping his car on the roof at the end of the first sector. After a reset, the only Belgian of the race went back to the race in 17th. As we were already entering the second lap, the things were already spicing up in every parts of the grid! King got his leadership back, meanwhile Kip was making a great move for his race by getting 5th place ahead of System and Donald! In the 3rd lap, L.Rydh took the lead again, meanwhile Yorry and JSK were doing some pass-passes actions for the 3rd place while Kip was patiently watching them. Further more, Nanex infortunately got "kicked" ouf ot the top 10 after a 3 cars wide hot action with Cyk and DLV where the NFR's boss infortunately had to put the wheels in the grass. He ended up in 14th. On the 6th lap, KingOfIce plugged his air conditionner in and started to put some cold breathe in Rydh's neck. Although the Swedish driver is used to the cold, but after coming back from his vacations, maybe he wasn't used again to the cold as it was efficient for KingOfIce to move back to the race lead! Behind them, it seemed that Yorry took a advantage ahead of JSK who wasn't that far, same for Kip in 5th. For the 6th place, the things were heating up between Donald and System, but the Frenchman was locking the door, well helped by a great acceleration compared to his GUM rival. 2 laps later, JSK grabbed that temporary podium again from Yorry, but the Bulgarian wasn't giving up, while Kip remained a close watcher of this fight. After his early incident, Nanex was making his way back to the door of the top 10 with 11th before the mid race, while Meuh was doing the same behind him in 12th.

But then when the midrace mark was coming, KingOfIce continued to build his gap in front of L.Rydh. JSK remained on the 3rd place but Yorry was patiently following him, ready to attack. Kip was loosing a little bit on these 2, meanwhile behind them, Donald finally found a opened door on the turn 1 and passed System, meanwhile behind them, Aposki and DLV were waiting on a opportunity to do a hold up! But the FSR's boss didn't told his last word and thanks to his great acceleration, he catched Donald back when coming to the end of the first split before the 3rd corner and second split's chicane, System clearly wanted to try to pass Donald on the outside, but the Lituanian was kind locking the door well... Until... System decided to put the wheels in the grass, surprising Donald with a exterior move at the chicane, and then the Frenchman climbed back to 6th! Donald tried all he could, but again he wasn't helped by the lack of acceleration of his car! Behind them, meanwhile Apo and DLV couldn't do much in this heat, Nanex entered back in the top 10. And on lap 16th, Yorry was again knocking at JSK's door to claim the 3rd place. The FSR and the MRc drivers once again started to do some pass to pass actions, while behind them, Kip once again started to watch the action closer and closer. And on lap 18, Yorry couldn't avoid a contact in the back of JSK, and here came Kip to make the hold up of the race! The Dutch FSR Team driver, winner of the 4th round, clinched the 3rd place from Yorry and JSK. And a couple of laps later, as KingOfIce was comfy in the lead in front of L.Rydh, JSK rolled up his sleeves and went to attack Kip to grab back the 3rd position. Further more in the top 10, DLV passed his Polish team mate, Aposki for the 8th position. But then after that, we had a amazing and hot battle for the 3rd position, between JSK, Kip and Yorry! As we were entering the last lap, JSK tried to dive inside Kip on the turn 1. It worked pretty well, except the MRc driver understeered in the corner, and that surprised Kip who was already closing to the racing line. Infortunately, the Dutch driver couldn't avoid his Slovakian rival, and the contact happened! JSK ended up beached in the gravels, while Kip could continue.. This time it was Yorry's turn to made the hold up and clinch the 3rd place! A minute later, KingOfIce won the race, his second one this season! He became the first driver to win twice this season! L.Rydh ends up 7 seconds away, but still scores a great second place, in front of Yorry, who scores his first podium this season! Would then follow 2 others FSR, as Kip ended in 4th, in front of his boss, System. Donald scores the 6th place in front of DLV. Aposki, Nanex and Cyk are completing the top 10, out of 16 drivers who saw the checkered flag.

In the League's standing, KingOfIce evidently increase his lead on L.Rydh by another point, making it to a 2 point lead, with 398 points, versus 396 for his Team Winners' rival. GUM Pigeon remain in 3rd, despite missing this round, as there is already a active joker, but he see Kip coming back 2 points behind him in 4th. Donald is 5th in front of the FSR trio : Yorry, System and DLV, meanwhile NFR's Proxima, who had to miss this round due to a eyes issues according to his team chief, remain in the top 10, in front of Nanex. On the team side, nothing changed much, as GUM Garage and FSR Team scored the same amount of point again, for the second consecutive round! But the FSR Team is increasing its gap ahead of 3rd place, held by NFR Team. Texas Drivers follows in 4th, in front of Winners and MRc.
Next round will be held in 3 weeks, the 16th June, before the traditionnal summer break, that will see LFS France's summer tour happening!
