I bought the S3 license. I have unlocked it on my main pc.
But now it keeps saying I need to have S2 mode enabled.

Can someone explain me how it works?

Can we presume that this is solved since you are currently online at a S2 host?

This server works without a problem but I am still using a s1 car. I tried to play on a cruise server named drift & draf. And when ever I chose a higher then the first 3 I got a "you need to be in s2 mode message"

What do you mean with "unlocked it on my main pc"?
Do you play LFS on several machines?
If so, you need to unlock it on every machine you play LFS on.

A server which isn't in the top 3 of the list to chose from or ... ?

I think this is insim message and you need too unlock other cars by driving

He means the notice that you get when you try to select a car that can not be used on the server.
There are two reasons why car can not be selected:

a) The host has locked this car.
Message text is something like: "This host does not allow you to drive car XY."

b) Trying to select non-demo car on demo server.
Message text is: "To drive car XY you need to be in S1/S2 mode."

Basically those are the two reasons why a car can be unselectable (greyed out in garage)


The first server you joined was a demo server. The other server was S2 or S3 server.
