Problem to connect with LFS Server
Hi all
I have a big problem. I want to set up some lfs-server. The server is ingame in serverlist, but if I try to connect, I become the message 'the is not online'.
I will run it on a win-server 2008. The ports 63392 and 29339 are open in both way and for TCP/UDP.
I try it with version 0.6E and 0.6F. Which are the right ?
And which trick I need for run it correctly ?
Thank you for helping.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm german.

best regards
Analgetiker
Did you also forward ports in router?
hello
thx for answer.
No, it's a root-server with win-server 2008 64 bit system. There is no router.
Assetto Corsa server is running without problems. Only LFS server is failed.
Must Java be installed on the server?

Join in from local network instead of the server list
It's not local. For this I need a local IP-adress. The server is not standing at home. I must use the server list...I think it's logic. It's internet IP.
Must Java be installed on the server?
/mode=s2 :demo / s1 / s2
/usemaster=yes :no / yes / hidden

Check those two line, you are probably not using the master server.
yes I know.
That's my test-config:

No Java isn't needed but i think i can't help it allready should work.
ok thx
you must create a new rules in your firewall to open the ports, 63392 (TCP and UDP) and 29339 (TCP and UDP.

Sam
thx for answer, but at my first post...I did it, this ports are open ...in both ways

try to put your server ip in the setup.cfg file :
// optional: local specified ip address
/ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
I try...it's the same
Are you in the same location than the server? If thats the case, join to the 127.0.0.1 IP instead of using the in-game server list.

The server isn't online as of now, right? Just to check if someone is able to see it.
Its not local.
The server is online. You can see it in list. It call 'AutoPiloten'. Look for it and try to join.
Throught the game I get the same error you are getting. But using LFSWorld I'm able to join. I have no explanation for this behaviour :S

I left a message in the chat, just to confirm I joined the right server
aha, I try i tomorrow. crazy thing.
thank you.
I think that often people put a space before the server name. and it often causes problems to reach the server.
It is imperative to remove the space before the server name.

what to do :
/host=Host Name

what not to do :
/host= Host Name
ah ok,
I try this yet.

Yesterday evening I tried with using LFS-World, it was ok.
I drink a cup of coffee and then I try your new idea
OOOHHH YEAAAHH

It's running correctly

Whiskey and MrSam...you are gods...THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Perhaps I see you from time to time on the AutoPiloten server, you would be every time welcome
thx again
I'd never expect that a space would cause so much trouble, should it be reported as a bug?
yes I will report it
Quote from Whiskey :I'd never expect that a space would cause so much trouble, should it be reported as a bug?

It must be reported as a bug, because since version f, we can not reach the server in the server list if there is a space before the server name.

Edit : Since forever i think, there was a problem with the space before the server name for :
