Even if u dont like toys, The forum is full of some serious shit...
I was quite happy with Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick & Walker when I studied for my Physics exam. The course I took didn't cover the modern physics topic, but if the modern physics related chapters are as good as the rest of the book, you should definitely check it out. A quick look at the ToC suggests that it should cover most of the topic you need.
