PC-based DIY CCTV software
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows any good CCTV software for PCs?

I will be using a Webcam and an outdoor USB CCTV-camera, so the software should support multiple cameras.

It would be also nice for it to support video recording, so it would make a new recording every X minutes e.g 20 mins to a separate file, so I could upload it to a remote place via FTP.

I was using AbelCam, but the free license is limited to 6 hours a day

Any suggestions?
I used to use ConqureCam. Been a fair few years though so I couldn't tell you what it supports anymore. But at the time it supported recording, stills, you can record to a HDD or upload to a website like this. I think it supported multiple devices, but not totally sure. It wasn't free but was inexpensive (about $12USD at the time).

Non of the software really seemed to do what I wanted.

The closest thing was MJPEG Recorder, which makes clips from images.

Unfortunately it kept crashing, so I started making my own MJPEG CCTV software

sony vegas with on the fly rendering enabled? i'm pretty sure you can have multiple cameras running too.
i had to find software that captured from multiple sources for my DJ streams. i started here. the chances are that your outdoor cam is just an all weather webcam and windows will just pick it up as a webcam of sorts.
