Grand Prix 4 @ Windows 7
Hey,

So I tried to install my old loved Grand Prix 4 on my Windows 7 32bit. Installation was done in 2 minutes.

After patching it, and starting it up, everything seemed to work fine.

After setting everything up, and launching a race, something horrible happened.

It crashed at loading the race! This normally happened at XP after screwing your GP4 up, and you'd need to reinstall. But at Win7 this failure keeps happening and I can't seem to find a solution.

Used dear old fella Google to search for solutions, but nothing helped.

Does any of you have a clue on how to get this beauty to work?
Tried with XP compatibility?
you sure it installed correctly? 2 minutes seems awefully short
Try setting the affinity of GP4.exe process to one core only.
I think you have to run the Task Manager as admin or disable UAC. You can run Task Manager as admin by creating a shortcut to C:\Windows\taskmgr.exe (or wherever it is), rightclick it and select "Run as administrator".
I had GP4 on my old box with P4 HT and setting affinity to one virtual core only reduced crashes a lot.
