Virtual tuning is simply tuning your car in photoshop. Here are some examples:

So here is my question has anybody ever done this type of work, and have some newbie tutorials? I would be really grateful. Or maybe somebody would be so kind to help me?

ohh that is nice.... but i am sure that isnt photoshop work, if anyone was gonna do tuning on a car model it would be in a 3d modelling program....and then composite it with a real picture....

it also kinda looks like a tuned real car has been photographed in place of the original lol....

And I disagree with you because everything is done in photoshop. I found quite few tutorials and I can make a crappy car but you wouldnt know it was done in pohotohsop either. I found a forum too. Read some and then you will believe it is done in photoshop. http://digimods.e-visionit.co.uk/

I think that's the point.

what are you talking about madman? have you never seen photoshop work?

doing those pictures would take months for even the fastest modelers in the world.. photoshopists can do that stuff .. easily in less than a week

They say it takes them about 10 hours but they dont sit and do it at once, they take brakes and stuff like that. So their work is done in about one week.

who are you saying it takes them 10 hours? if you mean the guys that do the real shots for companies, thats just because all they have to do is make a scene, render it with some good lighting, and the rest is spent.. of course, photoshoping it; the whole car itself is sent to them..

Yeah I heard that on Polish forum, that they can do it in 10 hours but since they want it to be perfect, it takes them whole week.

Good skill but unfortunately terrible taste in auto fashion.

Max Power's been running pictures of "photochopped" cars for at least two years and their forum even has a "post your virtuals here" section.

Generally speaking the results are unrealistic and bear more relation to the drawings that product designers make than photographs. I have yet to see one that I a)thought was at all tasteful/nice b)convinced me that it was a photo not a digitally manipulated image.

As you may have gathered I'm not a fan of this sort of "art" but then I also hate the clowns who think bolting a load of tupperware to their shopping trolley makes them God's gift to anything other than a Police radar car.

Yeah, they are quite ugly...

I don't like this "bigger is better"-mentality in car "tuning" at all, it only makes the car look ridiculous...

I dont like it either but its kinda cool to do it in photoshop. Im not going to spend weeks on one car and then show it to whole world. I just want to learn about reflecting, shading, making something look real in Photoshop and I think its a good way to start.

hope u guys like it....i dont like them anymore ))) ...And that rx7 is made with a 3d program, i have a similer tuned car, same effects, same claritty and its made with 3d's max, so....and the subaru is photoshop made

the rx-7 at the top ? that is absolutely not made in 3d, thats a real picture.. just like all other car studios take shots of cars

Here is my first car I made. What do you guys think? By the way this is work in progress. I am working on it all the time but unfortunately I encountered some problems.

PS: I chose Fiat 126P because I didnt want to destroy more expensive car.

Kajojek u'll need at least 2-3 mounths until u can make an resonable tunned car...dont expect at much on the begining just make simple things ... and with time passing u'll discover new things to play with ) i know the program at about 60-70% of its functions, but i dont have the pacients to do somthing perfect ) now i'm not using it for tuning cars...u can modify or create just about everything with the photoshop (even undressing hot chiks )))) )

EDIT: yep the RX7 is a fake or its really made in 3d's max, although the first pic with the normal rx7 doesent reprezent anywthing... those pics doesent match....here u go:
