You've either forgotten the sarcasm smiley or you are just plain rude?

What is your network setup?

Does this happen with other online games?

What is you max upload speed?

Can you test this on another PC on the same network?
Lmfao.
Some helpful fellows.

How long has this been happening, and have you had any changes to your internet connection done lately? Does it happen on every server you go on? IF you have any anti-virus software, are you sure its not blocking the master server? Have you made any changes to your connection settings in game?
I would love for you to go to a lawyer.

Maybe the fact that 1200 other people aren't having the same problem could point towards your internet connection being the problem, not the game.

lawers do not know how to fix internet connections. you wouldn't have an IT support Specialist representing you in court now would you?

Well i also have a lot of disconnects in lfs in the evening hours. The internet connection seems to stay.
I have read around the internet and one problem might be that the adsl signal tolerance of my connection is to low with 7dB. My problem why do downloads go on and other things not braking up, while lfs brakes up connection? Any help?
I would telephone your ISP and ask if they apply any "bandwidth throttling" or "port limiting" to their customers connection, some ISPs use packet inspection to control traffic and reduce bandwidth to P2P users.

Do you turn off all other applications that use the internet when you play LFS?
like P2P clients, automatic updates, instant message software, itunes etc.

To the OP... are you using wireless to connect to the internet by any chance?

Its easy to throw disconnection problems at LFS, however many of us LFS users do not get disconnected, therefore it will be most likely something else.

SD.
Control Panel> Network Connections>Local Area Connection (or whatever you use)>Properties>Configure>Advanced>Link Speed/Duplex Mode - must be 100Mbps/Full Duplex.

What are you talking about? The OP could have wireless LAN or he could have Gigabit Ethernet from his PC to a switch then 100 Mbit Ethernet from that switch to a router etc. Anyway, auto-negotiation of speeds should always be used UNLESS a NIC card detects the incorrect speed and there are no other problems restricting speed.

We know next to nothing about the OP's Internet connection (wired or wireless, speed, throttled or not) or his home network setup. SparkyDave's suggestion is the best one at this time. The OP should contact his ISP and find out if they are throttling LFS traffic.

Whats that? are telephone lines measured in db's? or are you on wireless?
Quote from CSU1 :Whats that? are telephone lines measured in db's? or are you on wireless?

He's talking about the signal to noise ratio. It's a measure of the line quality and is often used by ISPs to guesstimate what the maximum download/upload speed of your line will be.

@Nobo: It definitely sounds like your ISP is throttling LFS traffic if your HTTP downloads are perfect but your LFS connection has problems. You should contact your ISP and ask if they are throttling game bandwidth.

I see, I assumed SNR was only for wireless broadcasts and not closed circuits like cable or adsl

Is there no option in LFS to choose what ports you want to use?
Port throttling is one thing, but another could simply be contention either at your exchange or on your ISPs back end. If their pipes are swamped, packet loss could be the cause of your discos. Use WinMTR to do a recursive test.

The SNR of 7dB could be normal. I understand that in the UK, the rate adaption takes place to try and attain a target SNR...6dB for faster speeds, 9 or 15 for slower speeds with greater reliability on poor lines.

my brother has LFS on his pc and he doesn't has the same problem.

i scanned my PC for spyware ten times now and he doesn't find anything.

so it's not a connection problem but it's a bug.

It's a bug in your computer then, not LFS bug.
lol@ this thread.
I sometimes get timeouts cos I have a shitty computer that is 7-year-old and is low on RAM and full of virus. Yours ain't got much problem, maybe it's juz your firewall...

+1

why cant he get it its not lfs that is the problem.
I have a crap connection and i get disconnected all the time but im not making a fuss about it and saying im going to sue LFS Developers which would be very funny to see and watch may i point out.

I think it is possably a program on your computer ( excluding LFS). i had a problem where my anti virus was not allowing a game to fucntion online, but was fine in SP mode.

or as said above maybe it your firewall. i do not own your pc so i can really say what the problem is.

it could even be your router if you use a wireless network to access the internet
