Monster Trucks - Racing @ Brisbane, Australia
Being held on 15 November at the Brisbane Entertainement Centre. There will be 10 monster trucks as well as four drivers from the US competing in side-by-side racing and freestyle.

This is going to be a HUGE event, and if you are in Brisbane or thereabouts, definately DO NOT miss out on this event. I am making the trip up from Canberra to attend.

These guys put on about 40+ shows a year throughout the country to sell-out crowds, and this show is going to be televised on Channel 7 as well!

If you enjoy Monster Jam on FuelTV, then this is going to be a very similar show in terms of obstacles etc!

And the just-announced 2nd driver of Maximum Destruction for Monster Jam in 2009, Kreg Christensen, is also in Australia right now, and will be driving at the event, as well as fellow americans, James Tigue, Paul Shafer and also the pilot of the Sampson monster truck and chassis builder, Dan Patrick will also be there.

I'm from Sydney though i may be going up to QLD in the next week or two. I might have a look at this if im up there.
Hi mate,

If you do make it up there, I would HIGHLY recommend it. The plans for this show are huge, the biggest ever seen in Australia.

Lets just say some of the obstacles for freestyle include buses, caravans, boats & water trucks! And if you know anyone else who likes Monster Trucks, or has attended a Monsters Tour of Destruction show and enjoyed it, then get the word out! It would be much appreciated!
i live in Brisbane but im not a big fan of monster truck. so yeah

Sony South Pacific Monster Truck World Finals

Saturday 15th November 2008

Venue: Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Melaleuca Drv, Boondall

Time: 6pm - 10pm

Sony Playstation 3 South Pacific Monster Truck World Finals Brisbane Entertainment Centre November 15th 2008

THE ads say it all, the BRISBANE ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE is about to become one helluva historic battlefield on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 15 when for the first time ever in Australia Ten metal shredding mean monster trucks maraud the entertainment centre on a mission to become the first ever Winner of an Official Round of the World Finals Series.
NEVER have TEN MONSTER TRUCKS been assembled for a show anywhere else in the World apart from America.
NEVER before have USA'S top drivers left its shores to venture into the Southern Hemisphere to contest any type of Monster Truck activity.
NEVER before has Australia seen full scale side by side racing that will see the trucks reach speeds of 70 kilometres per hour, INDOORS.
NEVER before has Australia seen trucks contest Live Nation style freestyle where each truck is given 90 seconds to hit as many objects as possible with the object to be to SELF DESTRUCT the ACTUAL TRUCK.
NEVER before has Australia seen Monster Trucks jumping buses, double stacks of cars and even Water Trucks.
NEVER before has over $50,000 been spent just preparing the race and obstacle course, much of which will resemble the Sony Motorstorm Game.
NEVER before has there been an Officially Sanctioned Monster Truck World Final Event outside of the USA.

THIS is not just a show this is going to be a true once in a lifetime high octane experience. If you are having difficulties understanding just what you can expect to see visit a site called ushra.com and view some of their videos of trucks like Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction and Co because Monster Jam's equivalent is now about to hit Brisbane.
WITNESSING a full scale World Finals event is like going to space, it's like something you just can't imagine. Forget all the previous monster truck events you've ever seen or heard about because this is a whole new ball game, insane obstacles, absolute mass destruction basically every truck will get trashed at some stage of the Show. The whole experience is going to cost almost $500,000 to stage and basically is more so as a long term promotion by AMTRA and associated monster truck Promoter Clive Featherby, to further strengthen the already healthy interest in these huge 1700 horse powered machines.

IN the past year his company has conducted 41 shows across every State in Australia to over 600,000 happy spectators at Arena's such as Rod Laver Arena, Acer Arena, Members Equity Stadium Perth to name a few. The indoor World Final will by far surpass any event in terms of enormous jumps and super fast speeds never seen at normal shows.

SOME of the great names of USA Monster Trucks such as Legends like Chicago's Paul Shafer, Ohio's Dan Patrick, South Carolina's and 2005 World Champion James Tigue, Rich Inman from St Louis are absolute Super Heros in the States and are magicians in the 6 ton super trucks wheel standing right across circuits, reverse jumping buses, even attempting back flips, most times unsuccessfully in the monster trucks.

AUSTRALIA will have four representatives on the night three from the same Family, Clive Featherby the Current National Champion driving the legend Aussie truck Outback Thunda, 16 year old sensation Billy Featherby driving Scooby Doo a strong favourite to do very well in the freestyle competition and the World's youngest monster truck Jaye Featherby driving the Sony Playstation 3 Motorstorm truck. Jaye had to get a special clearance to drive on the night and this is the very same truck that Grant Denyer recently suffered serious back injuries in while driving in a media day in NSW. Australia's other representative is also very unique being the only female driver in the entire Show, Ipswich based Sherri Shafer will drive the Bearfoot truck on the night and the former Sprintcar star has very strong hopes of performing well in the side by side racing section of the programme. Aussie Champ Clive Featherby says "No matter what, even if he has to completely destroy and end for end his truck he's looking forward to hitting the buses and double car stacks at big speeds and giving it to the Yanks."

A team of 40 people will take 3 days to set the arena up for this very unique challenge over 100 truck loads of 30 cars, two buses 5 caravans a boat and two water trucks will make up the freestyle objects plus a few special surprises including even trying to jump one of their own monster trucks.
ALL trucks will conduct time trials then awesome side by side racing followed by the crowd favourite anything goes freestyle. A full support programme including Transzilla the fire breathing dinosaur, Australia's biggest ever indoor fireworks, fire, light and laser spectacular, back flippin FMX, Jet Vans and a kids whacky races demo derby will make this half million dollar extravaganza one huge family night an absolute must for every family.

TICKETS are already on sale at TICKETEK and are still under priced of other motorised events that come to town ensuring that the families will be able to enjoy this very special night of nights.
