// replace is supported
if (version>=4 || window.location.replace)
setTimeout("window.location.replace('')",60000);
else

except for refreshing that page instead of forwarding you to another one...
im no javascript expert... but that looks like it would only show the correct page after 60 seconds... and after which it would not refresh.
setTimeout is usually used to delay execution on a particular part of a script rather than refreshing.

such as:

setTimeout(wait.hide(), 1500);

is a snip from a web page i made that has a 'Please Wait' overlay. That code hides it after 1.5 seconds.

Live For Speed Vista and Google Gadget Beta v0.9.9.96
I am making a Gadget for the Windows Vista Sidebar which will Display the Current Version of Live For Speed and the amount of Racers Currently Online.

News:
- The "Live For Speed Vista Gadget" will be released as soon as I get the refresh working
- That's right!!!
Due to popular demand and because i'm stuck on the "Live For Speed Vista Gadget", I am now working on the "Live For Speed Google Gadget" aswell

Features to Add/Edit or Delete:
- Auto-Refresh every 60 seconds (1 min) - In Next Version

Live For Speed Vista Gadget Beta v0.9.9.96 (LFSVG)

New Features/Changes:
- Changed the name from "Live For Speed Gadget" to "Live For Speed Vista Gadget" to avoid confusion.
- The link to http://www.lfs.net is now back on the LFS logo

Problems/Can anyone help?
- How do I auto-refresh a single php file or the whole gadget every 60 seconds (1 min)?()

The vista gadget is almost ready for release

Improvements:
- Got rid of all the gaps (finally )
- Refreshes every 60 seconds

Things left to add:
- Refresh when the gadget first starts up (so it doesn't use the last image from the last start up)

The vista gadget should be released in a few hours, if not... tommorrow
Live For Speed Vista Gadget v1.0.0.0 is released!!!
I have started making Gadgets for the Windows Vista Sidebar and the Google Sidebar.

google to come?
Yes...
Quote from master_lfs.5101 :google to come?

yes, it will take longer than the vista gadget did tho... google is a harder code to use... it doesn't support php files the way microsoft does

I'm not sure how long it will take me because I have school again tommorow, I had 2 weeks of holidays to get the vista one out... but with school it may take a few months

The Google version is coming, it just may take a few months

I won't be sure weather it works until I get the php png image working...

This is what I have tried...
<img dropTarget="true" enabled="true" height="30" hitTest="htclient"
width="170" y="77" src="http://www.lfs.net/content/inc/realtime_numbers.php"/>

Quote :<view height="117" width="170" onopen="view_onOpen()">
<img height="117" width="170" src="stock_images\background.png"/>
<img dropTarget="true" enabled="true" height="62" hitTest="htclient"
width="170" src="stock_images\lfs-logo.png"/>
<img dropTarget="true" enabled="true" height="15" hitTest="htclient"
width="170" y="62" src="stock_images\top.png"/>
<img dropTarget="true" enabled="true" height="30" hitTest="htclient"
width="170" y="77" src="http://www.lfs.net/content/inc/realtime_numbers.php"/>
<img dropTarget="true" enabled="true" height="10" hitTest="htclient"
width="170" y="107" src="stock_images\bottom.png"/>
<a height="62" width="170" href="http://www.lfs.net"/>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="60"/>
</view>

It doesn't display because it is a php file I'm guessing... is there a way around this?
Can anyone help?
