does anyone know how to make a metalic colour on gimp? espechally silver as i need it for my next project

There's no real way to create silver in lfs. Unless you tamper with the .dds files that covers the shine of the car. Which by all means I recommend you not doing as it affects all skin for that car.

But usually to simulate a silvery effect use a black and white gradient with low opacity on top of a light gray color. You can even throw in some slight monochrome noise to make it extra special.
