Quote from MAGGOT :P1 has white, P2 has blue, GT1 has green, GT2 has yellow. Each class is a different colour so that everyone knows what class of car is around them. How is that silly?

I'm thinking headlights, not position lights
Ah, position lights. Quite frankly, during the day you can't even see those things anyways.

They are just a cheap alternative to Jumbotrons and things like they have at Indy which show the car numbers on LEDs. The latter are more visible.

Robbie Kerr's car on LMP2 pole

Well, the scoring towers are not visible at all points on a race track. For instance, Mosport has one which shows top 5 or 6 positions. You can't see it from 80% of the track, and in the spots you can see it from, you will most likely need to have a pretty decent set of binoculars to read it.

Jumbo-trons; well.. that would be cool; and Mosport has a couple of them now (not permanent, I bet they're just brought in for the ALMS weekend) but they are only placed in Turn 1 and Turn 8 I think. For most facilities, I don't think it's a viable option, really. I'm glad Mosport is getting bigger, but it is still a Canadian venue, and it will never meet the likes of other North American tracks like Laguna or Indy in terms of facilities. It's a far superior track, though
Cool video!

Anyone else watching the legends on Motors TV atm?
Quote from deggis :http://www.tvunetworks.com

You need to install the TVU Player, then through it you can watch a channel called "53060 Wheels" that is actually Speed TV. It doesn't show full coverage though, there's F1, Nascar and other crap between...

for Bob: everything on that is not probably 100% legal, it follows DMCA guidelines like Youtube and basicly leaves the choice for users... well remove the link if you think it's too illegal

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
This will be my only chance to see LeMans live this year since it looks like Eurosport doesn't have the rights to it (or didn't bother to broadcast) this year.
the audi is really going, a 2'56 for the first lap... Peugot seem to be down on pace, and bordaix wasted the qually on the first corrner Aston FTW

wtf was with peugeot therE?
He lost corner and lost first pozition!

is there any sort of live timing thing? The TV coverage is basically concentrating on the LMP1's, so i have no idea where anybody is further down the field.
what channel is it on tv?

Quote from niall09 :what channel is it on tv?

either motors TV on sky, or Speed TV via TVUplayer.

In the pre-race banter, they mentioned that part of the circuit had been redone, and that the cars were entering the Mulsanne straight a gear higher than previously.

I can't get the timing working either

Edit: It's working now - http://www.club24web.com/pages/chronos_gb.html
it's on motors TV and TVU player on wheels. Theres video coverage on here i think too. and live timing

ah right cheers

absolute madness passing attempt by an LMP2 car, thats just daft when they have 23 1/2 hours left.
I have Le Mans live on a usual TV channel :P
Quote from BenjiMC :and bordaix wasted the qually on the first corrner Aston FTW

Almost as stupid mistake as Alonso did in Montreal

This Speed TV stream works really smoothly... there's 5-6 minute delay though so that might be confusing if you watch live timing.
I got an IRC channel set up for those who would like to chat a little while watching LaMans. irc.enterthegame.com #scoreracing
For easy access, use the JAVA irc client found on SCORE. Link in the signature

Nope, that's serious. SPEED TV is owned by FOX, which only cares about ratings, and NASCAR is still top dog in North America. I wish I could get a stream of MotorTV Damn NASCAR, ruining my LeMans experience...

I'm still chuckling at Bourdais stuffing T1. Heh heh heh Then he dropped two wheels off leading up to Indianapolis when getting passed by the third Audi. I've never cheered for Audi before, but I just don't want Bourdais to win.

I know, that more like a joke But still, F1 is not that popular in America and yet they're still showing it right now.

Too bad the other factory Corvette...

Here's a bit better live timing: http://www.racing-live.com/24h ... ts/live_flash/live9.shtml

Now I'm stuck with that and radios... or maybe would be smart to take a sleep now so I can watch then the rest of the live coverage to the last lap

Speed TV should be back at 23:30 Central European Time...
Woohoo, found a another stream... French though, sorry but prefer mute option in this case.

http://www.sopcast.com - install, channel called 19959 kimi56, feed from Canal+ Sport France. Kinda crappy quality compared to the TVU.

Just turn off the volume and use http://www.radiolemans.com for audio
