Even if there's no weight added, if you move the position of the weight, it changes the distribution.

I guess this only works online, in cars that have been balanced (e.g. GTRs) with master server masses.

Does it happen offline too?

Just tested and when "Voluntary added mass" = 0 kg the "Added mass position (front)" is greyed out and it makes no difference to the cars weight distribution when you move it.

This was tested offline. Maybe when online a server can force the mass and you do not see it. I can't test this 'cos my server is off.

Yes, this was done during the W test patches to try to even out the TBO class. It is extremely helpful in the XRT too.
