Heya all

I'm puzzled by the 'no chat while racing' rule that some servers have. I can understand it in leagues, I was just puzzled by it as a whole.

(Sorry if this post doesn't make much sense. I'm not with it)

It's because chatting is distracting, but ideally you don't want to use the chat blocking because the host or organizers might have something important to say. It's true that it makes more sense for more serious racing like leagues.
True, but I read somewhere of a server that banned drivers if they didn't say hi, or something along those lines. I don't find chat distracting (most of the time I'm in the weeds anyway), and find it helps to make the server more friendly

Also, is it me or is chat blocking not totally effective?

that server is one of a kind and i dont even think it's running any more.

For a complete block of messages, press "SHIFT" + "-"
Ah...so that's what I was doing wrong, I was just doing '-'.

Thanks
