Serversetup socked failed
Hello,

I'm trying to created a dedicated server.
But when i start and i changed the config, he said:

Setupserversocket failed.
What i have to do?
I checked my ports they are open.
Can somebody have me please

Greets; Xior
Either some firewall software is preventing the socket from being created, or the port you've selected is already in use. Try a different one just to test.

Hm i disabled my firewall, and i checked the ports, and he's said it still..

:S
.
Have you filled in the ip configuration directive in the server configuration? You shouldn't have this filled in (which puts it into "automatic" mode), unless you know what you are doing.

//Example host configuration file

That is my server config,
I have a map called: server and that are my server files. inclusive setup.cfg
Comment out the /ip line.

So that its like this:
//ip=62.194.153.24

Unless that IP is actually on the machine you're running the LFS server, it will fail to bind. Unless you have multiple IP addresses on the machine you're running the LFS server, and only want it to listen on one, don't use the /ip directive (either leave it empty or comment it out).

He thanks Now he don't give a warning
Now he's working, but at the top there stand: // are ignored, :O
and now i have

//ip=62.194.153.24
Yes? And?

Unless 62.194.153.24 is actually an ip address on the operating system, the ServerSocket setup (bind) will fail.

When you leave it blank, it will setup the server for all addresses on that machine.

Ok

But how can i login as admin in the server?
When you login to the server, you get a password box. Just type in the admin password you set on the server and you're logged in as an admin. You can then control the server via the chat window using commands.
