Hey everyone iam new to rendering cars and stuff. Iam guessing you use 3DsMax. I was wondering is theres any other programs out there to create 3d renders. I used to make cars for Midtown Madness 2, so not sure if thats any good or will help me. But id like to try to render some cars. They look awesome.

There is blender which is free. Then there are Softimage XSI, Maya, Lightwave 3d and Cinema4D.

If you mean the renderers there are Brazil, Mental Ray, (someday) OpenGL 2.0 and Gelato. The last two are hardware-based and theerfore 1000 times faster. There are many programs.
