Switched to V-Ray, have some issues, eg the glass looks distorted after re-modelling it.

I haven't remodelled the glass and it looks fine by me. I'm using a vraylightmtl for the reflection pane and the glass material is just refraction on grey and reflection on pure white. Here's quick render of a plain black car using GI.

Reflection is FResnel at 2.2 or it can be 1.6 or whatever and refraction is at 1.0.

My xrt scene got corrupted!

Can someone try to open it if i send it to him?
If it is corrupted on one computer, it is probably corrupted on another if you send it, what exactly did you want to keep on it, mesh or other stuff?

If its mesh, then its easy to save, just open 3dsM, and merge the mesh into it, and then export it as a file, then import it and it should all be saved.

If its not mesh, then its done for.
You could try sending it to someone and seeing if it works, but there is a slim chance.

Hehe, I've just made an animation of an XRT retractable hardtop, see it in movies section.

And I also figured that there's more of an animator than of a modeller in me

on the top-down view the black rectangles are the lights facing downwards.

A few things i can say;
Model is low poly but it is maybe easier to animate if your pc is not a powerful one.What is the poly count?
Headlights are a bit too bright so they look like another pair of eyes
And about the animation, eyes should be moving fast.They are moving too slow.Like human eye, focus in a direction and stay there until you look somewhere else.
Same thing for the eye blink.Keep them open for longer and blink in shorter times.
