But that's how real gearbox works - you can simply shift from gear into neutral,with load (either acceleration or deceleration) it's rather difficult as gears lock themselves,but without load (the moment when you release throttle) it's very easy to shift to neutral. Same with putting from neutral into gear - when you push lightly the lever to gear (not too hard to not grind),at specific rpm/speed it will jump into gear with rather low resistance - same happens in LFS,where you can shift gears without clutch with simple revmatching.
The only part that is missing between real gearbox and LFS simulation over shifter is the "force feedback" as there is no resistance of the shifter.
