GT CUP Round 1/5 – First GTR Duel: Lillia-X vs RB

Hey fellow racers,

The Duel attracted so much interest we had to split into two divisions! Both podiums were filled by Lillia-X... No doubt wich one won this first Duel Cool

Division 1

The guys from Argentina Turismo, a joint venture of two teams: Furtive Rancing (FR) and Top Racing (TR) totally dominated this race. The Venezuelan (FR)Leandro918 leaded from lasp 1 to 26, when an accident left him in second place for the rest of the race. From then on it was the Argentinian (FR)Hernán who led until the end, winning yet another victory in our servers and the first one of this cup.

P3 was for Furtive Racing's Colombian driver (FR)Raigs, who climbed from the mid positions into the podium after beautifully beating Top Racing's Argentinian (TR)Nicoo.

GT CUP Round 2/5

For this round we visited Westhill, which is one of our most beleved tracks for fast races, and boy was it fast!

The pre-qualifying sessions were dominated by the Argentina Turismo crew, whose driver Hernán Quinteros set an astounding 1:42.600. So everything seemed to be set for another fight between Hernan and Leandro, both Furtive Racing drivers, for the first place in the standings of this cup, but there were still some surprises on this road to victory.

Lithuanian V. Lagūkas showed up the day of the race and while he did not reach Hernan's pre-qualifying mark he did get the Pole Postion with an amazing 1:43.300.

The race began with a fierce fight between Lagūkas and the Argentinian, who managed to overtake his oponent in the 3rd corner and lead the first 6 laps. Then, after some difficulties, on lap 7 Lagūkas seemed to spread wings and ride with the wind until he caught up with Hernán in split 2 to overtake him just before they entered the 8th corner. That was so beautiful to watch!

From then on, Lagūkas leaded until the finish line, getting P1 and also the fastest lap –an incredible 1:42.930, and showing us why he is one of the top drivers in LFS.

P2 was for Fragmasters' [FM]Ohnifus, and P3 for Furtive Racing's (FR)Leandro.

Congratulations to the podium winners!

Thanks for racing, thanks for reading, and see you in Aston on April 24th Thumbs up

GT CUP Round 3/5 – Second GTR Duel: Lillia-X vs RB

The everlasting straights of Aston suited the RB better, and drivers choosing this one dominated both the qualifying sessions and the actual race. Both Top Racing's Lalurx and Rayden of La Curva Team achieved 1:45.750, an interesting and rare situation.

However, the race had a few more surprises in store. Due to an incident in qualifying, Furtive Racing's Hernan Quinteros (RB GTR) could only manage P22 and that was his grid position. To make matters worse, an accident just before the first corner left NeoN (LowCost Racing) out of the race and several drivers in serious trouble. However, Hernan came through the mess unscathed and was able to showcase his extraordinary driving talent, a set of skills that took him not only to an incredible victory but the fastest lap as well.

P2 was for Lalurux (RB GTR), another gifted driver.
P3 was for Formula Racing's MAXXIS, who drove the only Lillia-X that managed to achieve a top 5 position.

Congrats to the podium winners and see you next month in Blackwood Westhill!

GT CUP Round 4/5

Westhill again, this time the National, and with a top mod: the Pochette 118 GT3.

Once again we were visited by drivers of extraordinary quality and it was clear since the pre-qualifying sessions that the top positions were going to be very hotly contested.

In qualifying the Born 2 Race driver Mantas got the Pole with an extraordinary 1:26.910, beating a magnificent Gabriel Lara (Top Racing) who had dominated the pre-qualifying sessions.

Mantas's performance in the race was not to disappoint anyone, and he completed an extraordinary hat-trick with the fastest lap and a well-deserved P1, followed by Furtive Racing's Raigs (P2) and Formula Racing's MAXXIS P3.

Norme Française Racing's team leader Nanex also came to race this one. He got P10 and gifted us with a wonderful broadcast that can be watched in Nanex TV cahnnel at youtube. Thank you, mate!

Congratulations to the podium winners, and don't miss the final round of this cup in Aston North on June 19th.
