League 2023

You've been waiting for it and now you've got it -CESAV's League is back. Need we say more?

Starting on February 6th, and until June 26th, we are ready to welcome you in this new edition of CESAV's most beloved championship. 16 rounds in which we will enjoy 15 great mod cars, 2 rallycross events and a great final combo: the FOX at Westhill International.

80 drivers and 10 teams joined us to fight for the championship on the former edition of the league.

Back then, after several heart-stopping rounds, NeoN (LowCost Racing) managed to win the championship's gold prize after beating MAXXIS (Formula Racing) by a mere 9.5 points. Even more exciting was the fight for third place, beautifully won by Hernán (Argentina Turismo) by narrowly edging out Mitsumeku (Formula Racing) by 1 single point.

Teams championship was won by Formula Racing, followed by Argentina Turismo and LowCost Racing.

The most successful drivers of that championship belonged to Argentina Turismo: Leo, who scored an impressive 84 points in prizes, Hernán (34) and Pablo (26).

A new league is now starting and everything has yet to be decided. Are you going to miss it?

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 1/16

A great begining for this season's league!
36 drivers registered for this round, 34 qualifyed and 27 went in for the race.

Furtive Racing's (FR)Hernán and (FR)Leo showed us again why they are considered two of the top LFS drivers, brilliantly performing in the qualifying. They also did in the race. Unfortunately (FR)Hernán had to retire giving way for P1 to (LCT)Laio Fndz –a very nimble, quick driver who also got the fastest lap.

P2 was for (FR)Leo and LCR»NeoN got P3. Congrats to the podium winners, and see you next week in Aston!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 2/16

24 drivers qualified for the race this time. La Curva Team's LCT-Laio Fndz and LCT-Atomik showed their talent and achieved the pole position and P2 respectively. P3 was for Formula Racing's [FR]MAXXIS .

Race was also dominated by LCT drivers until Atomik had to enter the pits due to a punctured tyre. Laio Fndz got his second P1 in this championship and the fastest lap as well, thus strenghtening his lead in the League. LowCost Racing's LCR»NeoN made its way to P2 after Atomik's pit stop, and [FR]MAXXIS got P3.

Congrats to the podium winners, and see you next week in Blackwood's Car Park!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 3/16

La Curva Team does it again!

In a reprise of the previous race, both Laio Fndz and Atomik took the Pole Position and P2 respectively in the qualifying session. P3 was for Rayden, a seasoned and beloved driver who has decided to join us again and who also got P3 (later a P2) in race. No surprise he has signed with LCT making this one a true all-star team.

As expected the race was dominated by Laio Fndz who got his third P1 in this championship -three in a row!

Although [MRc]Pedro managed to get P2 he was later DQ as he didn't make the mandatory pit stop, so it was Rayden who actually got the P2.

P3 and the fastest lap -an impressive, 1:18.90 was for Atomik

Congratulations to the podium winners, and see you in Rockingham!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 4/16

And yet again!

La Curva Team's drivers Atomik and Laio Fndz are on their way to lead this championship for good. They outperformed the rest of the drivers in both the qualifying session and the race, and took yet another podium in a very fast race that was not devoid of some incidents.

Atomik showed an extraordinary talent and got the fisrt hat-trick of this league: P1 both in qualifying and race, and the fastest lap as well.

Laio Fndz got P2, and P3 was for Formula Racing's MAXXIS.

After a hesitant debut, La Curva is quickly climbing on the Teams' standings and yesterday got hold of the third position -at just six point difference from LowCost Racing. Leading position is for Formula Racing.

Congrats to the podium winners, and see you next week in Blackwood Rallycross!

i see t1 went wellSmile
Could've been worse Dead banana
Quote from johneysvk :i see t1 went wellSmile

I (yes I am on foreground) don't remember if I was following a late braker or if I missed my braking point (hard time with this shitty English weather). No damage though but it was like starting last, I ruined my qualification! I did around 4 or 5 big mistakes, would have been an impressive result without them!
LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 5/16

Fifth round brought us the first rallycross combo of this year's league, adn it came with a few surprises and lots of fun!

34 drivers signed for this one, and you don't want so many fast (and not so fast) lads in a two leg, reverse grid race, so we split in two divisions.

Division 1

Leg one
LowCost Racing's NeoN got P1 while Hernán of Furtive Racing got P2 and the fast lap. Both drivers broke the suspension of their cars fighting for the podium and yet made it to the end. MAXXIS (Formula Racing) got P3.

Leg two
GUM Garage's King of Ice got this one's gold and the fastest lap of the journey. After being unable to finish the former leg, the frenchman led this one from lap one until he was shown the cherckered flag in an excellent show of driving skills.

P2 was for Brazilian [MRc]PedroBR, and LCR>>NeoN got P3.

Division 2

Team America's Vinsu won both legs of this division's race, and (BRM)socraM got P3 on both occasions as well.

P2 in leg one was for independent driver OSC, while (FR)NJoan got it in leg two.

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 6/16

First e-Race of this season (and the only one in the league Big grin).

Having to spend 4 seconds for every one percent of battery charge, it was a real challenge to come up with a winning strategy for this one. Drivers worked hard during the week, and did their best to be the most efficient and have to recharge for as little time as possible in the pit stop.

Lap times of 1:21 were feasible, but efficiency demanded the drivers to race somewaht slower to save as much energy as possible. Thus, the fastest lap was 1:23.250, set by iruben17, while this round's champion was Master Race car's [MRc]PedroBR, who performed an amazing climb from P10 to P1, winning the race by 36 hundreths of a second.

P2 was for LowCost Racing's LCR>NeoN, and P3 for Buen Rollito Motorsport's [BRM]socraM in his third podium of this league.

Congrats to all the podium winners, and see you in two weeks in Rockingham!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 7/16

We visited Rockingham again, and as you can see this time MAXXIS had an extraordinary livery courtesy of Mitsumeku.

This one was actually a tough race. The Rock is an unforgiving track, and the EM30 GR-A is no joke -fast, powerful, and difficult to tame. The slightest of errors could lead drivers to a gravel trap, and more than one found out.

After a clean start and negotiating both Split 1 chicanes, Formula Racing's MAXXIS was overtaken by Furtive Racing's Raigs who took lead from then on closely followed by [MRc]Zesty. A mechanical problem left Raigs out of the race in lap 20, and it was Zesty who took lead. The British driver fiercely defended his position from MAXXIS attacks during the next 10 laps, but pressure took its toll eventually, and MAXXIS was able to overtake him two laps before the end.

[FR]MAXXIS thus won P1, and P2 was for [MRc]Zesty, while LCR»NeoN got P3 and the fastest lap

Congratulations to the podium winners, and see you next week in Kyoto!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 8/16

Kyoto GP revisited!

We gathered for a serious race this time. Although this round was set to last about 50 minutes only, memories of the 6h of Kyoto echoed across the boxes durign the practice and pre-qualifying sessions.

Once again, the Argentina Turismo crew showed up to prove why they are one of the best in the world, and all qualifyied in the top positions. Pole was for Agustín Ipsale, who got an impressive laptime of 1:58.420

The race, however, was a whole different story. The chicane just after the oval exit in split 3 took its toll, and quite a few drivers sliped out of the track there, or even broke their shockers getting too hard in the line. No doubt Kyoto is a merciless track to those who commit mistakes.

However, former training for the 6h endurance payed off, and both Furtive Racing's Hernán Quinteros and Leandro Vargas leaded the race at a very fast pace. While it was Hernán who got the fastest lap, it was finally Leandro who showed the best skills and won the P1 beating his teamate by 14 seconds.

P3 was for Master Race car's Zesty. While he is a latecomer to the league, this Brit is showing an excellent form, and his performance in the two races he has entered has earned him two podium finishes so far. Well done, mate!

Congrats to the podium winners, and see you next week in Fern Bay!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 9/16

Fern Bay's kerbs are serious business, but with the Skippy you'll go over them like you're dancing a calypso.

Enough with joking!

This time we welcomed two Italian drivers, Department of Defence's tBug and KIG from Master Race car. KIG quickly demonstrated his talent at the wheel, taking pole position with 1:31.67, a great time that he would repeat in the race, and which earned him the fastest lap.

After an intense battle with NeoN, KIG finally took the win while NeoN secured second place. P3 went to [MRc]PedroBR, another gifted driver who was kind enough to broadcast the race.

After a promising start, La Curva Team's leader Laio Fdez seems to be struggling in his way to victory, and yesterday's P4 was not enough to consolidate his lead. At the moment NeoN and Laio are tied on 896 points, which makes us expect an exciting fight between the two in the races to come.

Congrats to the podium winners, and see you in two weeks in Aston!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 10/16

For the tenth race of the league we received a very special visitor. This week's car of the week was none other than the Piran Firefly 200, an excellent revision of the Fairlady by Racon (aka Jam616) who we were honoured to have on the grid for the occasion.

During practice it was very clear that, despite its delicate and docile appearance, this car is a true thoroughbred --powerful and reliable, but wild and rampant if you don't drive it with determination.

In the qualifying session, Furtive Racing's Hernán Quinteros stood out as usual. He was followed by Jereloco, an old acquaintance from Argentina Turismo we enjoyed seeing again on track, and PedroBR from Master Race car.

The race was something else. Some people say that Aston National, reverse in our case, is only 3 corners, but boy those are corners! The wide hairpin before the finish line tested more than one of our drivers' nerves, and several positions were decided in that place.

In the end, after a brilliant performance by Top Racing's Misio it was Jereloco who won both P1 and the fastest lap, while Misio took P2. MAXXIS got P3.

Congrats to the podium winners, and see you next week in Fern Bay!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 11/16

Second and final Rallycross event of this league!

Fern Bay is a very demanding track, and driving the FT1SC here was no easy task. The first and last corners pushed the left front tyre to the limit, and the drivers had to show great skill to stay in the race.

Despite this round was to prove as a tough one, practice sessions already showed that there was a lot of motivation among the drivers. Qualifying was no less impressive and Ian Bassi took pole position, giving a lesson in driving on mixed surfaces.

Bassi continued to show his talent during the race, and a fierce fight for the first position with MAXXIS ensued. However, a better tyre conservation by the Canarian driver decided the race, and so it was MAXXIS who managed to get on the podium with the P1.

Bassi had to settle for a well deserved P2 while NeoN took P3.

The fastest lap was set byLaio Fndz who, despite this, had to settle for P5 this time.

Congratulations to the podium winners, and see you next week in Blackwood!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 12/16

The league is coming to an end and the first place has not yet been decided.

After a promising start with three wins in a row, the leader of the La curva team, Laio Fernández, seemed to experience some problems that left him in second place. However, after his outstanding performance yesterday at Blackwood, he has closed the gap to NeoN and is still in contention for the championship win.

P1: Laio Fndz (+ fastest lap)
P2: NeoN (+ Pole Position)
P3: MAXXIS

Congratulations to the Podium winners, and see you in South City on May 29th.

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 13/16

Another two-legger round, and two divisions!

An extraordinary mod on a very unforgiving track --mistakes in South City cost our drivers much-needed tenths, and these were the results.

DIV1

Leonel Alfonzo managed to get on the podium in both legs (P1 & P2) and also got the fastetst lap on second one, becoming the most succesful driver in this division. P2 in leg one was for MAXXIS and P3 + fastest lap for Hernán Quinteros.

Winner of leg two was Top Racing's Gabriel Lara, and P3 was won by LowCost Racing's NeoN

DIV2

Team America's Gustavo Grinblat totally dominated leg one, getting the fastest lap and winning P1 11 seconds ahead of both his chasers, socraM (P2) and Loopingz (P3). In Leg two we saw an extraordinary Mikhailo Yefremov who won P1, while P2 was for Fer69 and P3 for Loopingz again!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 14/16

The Kyoto National is one of my favourites, I confess, and we were expecting to see a battle between NeoN, and MAXXIS and Laio Fndz, the three best drivers of this championship fighting for the final victory. However, in the qualifying sessions, the Born to Race drivers, Ayoub Maroc and TwinCam, made it clear that they had come to compete for the podium, and boy did they do it!

Ayoub got an extraordinary Pole, with a time of 1:36.860, almost the same one that earned him the fastest lap in the race, where he led with an amazing pace that only his teammate TwinCam could follow. They got P1 and P2 more than 23 seconds ahead of MAXXIS, who had to settle for a P3 that keeps him still in the fight for the title.

Congratulations to the podium winners, and see you next week in Rockingham Oval!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 15/16

It's not every day we see a Nascar style race, and the day came with an American classic. Huge, roaring and with tyres about to catch fire, that was the SDWIMP67!

On this date we received the visit of 6 French drivers, a top troupe led by Tomfuel, King of Ice, Derinus and Pigeon, from GUM Garage, followed by French Street Racers' System, and the independent Hawkeye.

It was clear since the qualifying that our colleagues were taking the race very seriously, and King of Ice took a not-so-easy Pole Position.

However, the race tested our tyre temperature management skills and in that regard it was Rayden who proved to be the man to beat, leading 53 of the 60 laps until he eventually took P1.

P2 and fastest lap was for Deparment of Defense's Jimmy, a newcomer who showed a great skill.

And there was more, and it came from the lower ranks. There, after a hesitant start in P17, System droped to P22, but he then steadly climbed to the top, and won P3 after managing to even lead 5 laps. Simply brilliant!

Congratulations to the podium winners, and hope see you in two weeks for this league's finale in Westhill with the FOX!

LEAGUE 2023 ROUND 16/16

And the league came to an end!

That last round was to leave few surprises in the final standings. MAXXIS had few options to take the lead from NeoN, and Laio Fndz had secured the third place in the championship. So everything was set for other drivers to shine in a classic combo: FOX at Westhill.

They did not disappoint. MRc's Zesty made it clear already in qualifying that he was going for it. He took pole position with a great mark that he even improved on in the race, getting the fastest lap.

Zesty's display did not end there, as he took the victory after leading the race from the first lap to the end. P2 was for 69 Mugrilo, and P3 was for B2R Ayoub_MaRoC.

Congratulations to the podium winners, and many thanks to the 81 drivers who participated in this league!
