Does LFS work on my iphone...?

Actually a good idea but in the midst of getting my racing seat all set up in my home, if I'm around I'll definitely be involved.. Been out the scene for a while now though.

Focus RS really does do something sexual for me i'm not going to lie, love it Ian.

I've been looking at ST's lately since i'm needing to go back to a 5 door, however knowing that the 2.5 it would have has 150bhp less than the RS would just kill me, along with running it.....

I'll have an RS one day.

Quote from The Very End :

The Cabin in the Woods

Oboi, rofl! This movie was actually pretty damn fun!
And I don't even like the horror film generee that much ;D
Guess I liked it because it's basically making fun of the whole genree itself, and has some interesting twists and turns.

Same, watched it with a few friend's who thought it was garbage, I was surprised and thought it must just be me who liked it hah.

Little bit of frost, sound is pretty poor from the gopro, just giving the quattro a burl..

Won a small competition to go drive an evo x around infineon last week, now known as sonoma raceway.

We also done a few timed events (1 on the autocross, 2 on a Sim) between me and the other 5 winners..quite enjoyable.

Quote from doyal :I replaced the S14A with this.. A VW Golf GTI MK5.

It has all the features, auto lights, auto wipers, cruise control, etc.. Tidy paintwork, full VW history, sat nav, and the best bit.. 17" monzas, rather than the awful 18" ones!

Great choice, was heading towards one of these until I took the swap for the S3, love the interior.

Would of been going for a GTI still however it seems like i'm heading back to a diesel, so a GT is as close as i'll get it seems..

Quote from Intrepid :I don't know about that, certainly not clearly intentional. When there is contact that directly affects the front wheels and then consequently upsetting the car's balance as well as driver input , it can occasionally looks as if someone is intentionally doing something when in fact they are not at all. We also have to factor in possible steering arm/suspension damage in the initial collision etc...

But it's a racing incident. IMO the BMW should have been a bit more careful on the cut back. At the first point of contact he was asking for trouble, intentional or not. After T1 at Donington the natural inclination is to curve to the right. He kept his car pretty straight. Just pointless. Don't risk it.

Quote from Mazdaratie :Afaik the Merc driver was disqualified this race but still wins the championship by a 1 point margin.

Granted contact will cause some impact on the drivers wheel, however really, the car's bump, they push away from each other and the merc actually has a swipe in at the BMW, i'd love to see the in car but it would look like Hammond and Clarkson doing rallycross.

Blatant, he knew fine well what he had to do if the BMW got past.

The merc turns into the BMW then after the contact keeps turning, clearly intentional, probably still too close to call and will be deemed a racing incident, doesn't take away the intent.

Quote from doyal :that clunk from the subframe is why I hate most modern FWD cars.. both our company audi's do it (a3 2l tdi). really is uncomfortable. Is it a sign of worn bushings?

(have always owned rwd cars)

I know when I get a bit of wheelspin I hear a slight clunk from it when the power shifts to the rear, not sure what clunk your on about.

But yea it's quattro, video was in the wet, no idea why they gave this car traction control..

Noticed an improvement in the braking Jack?

I must say the bigger brakes on the S3 to the standard A3's/MK4 golfs is huge, 200kg heavier car still stops 10x better.

Done a straight swap with my '53 Golf TDI 130, low mileage at 62, no mods, full heated leather, for this little beaut...

S3, 78k miles, leather, everything works, especially the 225bhp and the quattro..

Quote from tristancliffe :I'd say that he tied to carry more speed to keep me behind, which caused him to understeer into me. Racing incident.

And to be fair he defended well. That was the third or fourth time I'd tried to go round the outside there, and several other times at different corners I was alongside but on the outside. He was quite fair every other time.

I'll just try to beat him on Sunday at Donington!!

The initial contact I agree, just slid into you, but 100% you both slowed loads after contact and somehow he still keeps turning into you.

Reminds me of this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?f ... &v=2a6A8_y30K4#t=846s

I wouldn't of been shaking his hand that's for sure.

Looks like limp mode to me Dan, or your running with a broken MAF or with it unplugged.

MAF problems don't throw fault codes in VW's when they're faulty, unplug the MAF and see if it makes a difference to the running of the car, if it doesn't replace it. Though if it doesn't make a difference spray some electrical contact cleaner on it first. Might just be a bit of crap on it.

What engine is it though Tomba?

Don't think branding an estate a "GTI" is any good, though the GTI name was never really anything meaningful in anything other than a Mk1, 5 or 6.

Quote from BlueFlame :Well, feel bad for the guy, the picture comment is written seemingly quite heartfelt-ly. Yea, feel bad for the guy tbh.

Definitely feel quite bad for the guy but have no idea how he managed to walk back outside.

Screw crushing it, sell it and spend the money on something decent for the kid!!

Desperately tried to find the video I seen a few months ago.

Was a skoda meet on an airfield, had some tuned VRs's n stuff, 3 or 4 of them lined up and done a drag race, some octavia estate can be seen for all of the first half a second before it's completely out of shot.

Originally just a 1.8t 4x4 estate, now I think it had the BAM (225bhp) engine and turbo, tuned over 300bhp...looked standard apart from VR's wheels.

Pro sleeper.
