Proofreading and things of that nature will be done for a while to come. We're still ironing out stuff like this.

The penalty you mentioned was an obvious mistake. The real penalty is 10 seconds as you might have realized.

The language you call American English is a language we call universal easy English. Our main target audience is Europe, though.

And yes, we are still looking for people to become testers. Launching a site to support people from so many different countries requires testing so we still need people from many different countries to represent their nation of players.

Just to recap, to become a tester, send us an email to [email protected] (or a private message through this forum) and tell us your country of origin. We will then soon contact you for further details. During this stage, there is still room to back down, so you have got nothing to lose by agreeing to become a tester. All the testers will be rewarded for their efforts.

It is true that you indeed need another .exe to play on 5laps.com, but it is a one-time download only so it shouldn't be too much of a bother.

Yes, you could say that this is an international transposition of MNK. The service is going global in March. There is no entry fee to the site, but valuable prizes will be up for grabs in different kinds of pay tournaments.

Also, with the service changing its name from Finnish Maailman nopein kansa (World's fastest people) to a more international 5laps.com, there has been a few tweaks and changes made. The number one goal for us is to provide a service that meets the wishes and demands of the people. That is why are searching for testers; we want to constantly evolve and reinvent ourselves.

There is not going to be TV contracts this time around, but we do of course have a few surprises and ideas up our sleeve for the future.

First of all, let me now introduce myself. My name is Jouni Hakkarainen and I am a spokesman and a community manager here at Dodreams.

So in a nutshell, 5laps.com is an organized gaming service that is all about multiplayer race driving. Our idea is to let people experience the fun and competitiveness as well as a more community-based side of racing. Also, the name 5laps.com shouldn't be taken too literally as our contests come in many varieties, and the number of laps varies as well.

What we are looking for is a group of testers wanting to test our service and to provide us with information about how things work. Basically this means registering to the site, which is free, and participating in some free races by simply clicking buttons that let you join. The testers will compete with each other and finally give us feedback about how it all went down and whether there was something left to desire. Oh, and we are indeed not native English speakers, but we try our best and have a strong background involving the English language. To tell you the truth, the one sentence that one of you picked on was actually considered a little complex even by my own standards...

This year, we here at Dodreams – a company situated in Finland –, the developers of 5laps.com* racing service (powered by LFS), are going to launch our service to include all of Europe to bring much anticipated global feel to competing. The project we have going on includes translating our site to support English, but also to test the gaming servers with the help of recruiting a small group of volunteers.
