Just to advise everyone here that AirAttack are running a "just for fun" league for those new to S2 racing (e.g. people moving from demo into S2 world).

The league will take place on Tuesday nights.

There will be a variety of cars and tracks - 8 rounds of increasing challenge, starting on 3rd September with the MRT at Fern Bay.

For more details and to sign up, please go here:

I think it'll be quite a feat to win the contest now we're into the final month if you're just starting from scratch! But good luck anyway. To see where you stand in the championship, type !fbm, !gti or !rally on any server (depending on which category you're entering). As Fram says, you need to sign up using the link provided.

But honestly, nobody is disagreeing with you about how people ought to behave! We're just pointing out it's not realistic to expect them to and that getting high and mighty or taking it out on the server admins is no solution.

Especially, as you now realise, it was a demo server, and many of the people on demo are kids themselves and don't have the maturity. You don't find them on S2 so much simply because they can't afford it (or at least would rather spend their money on One Direction downloads).

As previously stated, you wouldn't tell your kid to go into a playground at school (which is effectively what LFS is to some of these guys) and start telling people to go easy on him because it's his first day at school. Red rag to a bull...

Hi - I manage the AA servers and any serious complaint against any racer will be looked into, but I would also ask you to consider whether going onto a public server and announcing you're a noob is not asking for trouble in a way. It's not AA's fault or LFS's that people respond with comments like that. It's the way the world is - just look on any public forum or news site that allows comments. Just look at the vitriol posted following Margaret Thatcher's death with people saying they're glad she's dead and we should all rejoice and stamp on her grave. People think they can say whatever they like online. I'm not saying that's right, it's just a fact of life. So please don't blame AA or the admins for general human behaviour. Instead, educate your son about the reality of the public internet.

Hi Silver77,

Yes, no idea what happened to the site - has been down a while now. AirAttack (the LFS racing team), however, has found a new home as part of GenR and this has revitalised the team to a large extent. We are about to launch a new licence competition to welcome a new team sponsor, have some new members, new Rally events, and are now participating in regular events against MRc, as well as other GenR leagues. So it's not all bad.

Some of our regular racers may have noticed that our forums at www.airattack.co.uk were down recently.

Due to issues beyond our control, we have now moved the AirAttack server forums into the main GenR forums.

Our new forums can be found at: www.airattackteam.com (once there, click on Air Attack Servers forum).

Maybe something bad happened, but also consider this... If you had taken money from lots of people and could no longer provide the service you promised, would you definitely face the angry mob?

The thing is, this is all speculation. However, if I were running a business I'd make sure there was a contingency plan in place should anything happen to me to ensure that at the very least customers got notified. But I suspect the most likely explanation here is that 500servers has simply gone bust or not paid it's bills on time (this is just an educated guess btw). As a customer with no information, the only thing we can do really is look around for alternative hosting. That's not meant to be unkind if anything bad has happened - I don't know Dean - it's just how things are.

I think I'm correct in saying this only works in S2, not in Demo. Do you have an unlocked copy of LFS?

WHMCS is just client management/billing software that presumably 500servers were using...

On your timetable it looks like the full event will take over 2 and a half hours to complete. This would probably rule it out for me (and anyone else who has a family!). Can you reduce the gaps between qualifying and the races? Also, if it were possible to avoid 7pm (i.e. have it completing before then or after then) then that would be best for me. Appreciate not everyone will think like this, though - this is just my opinion.

A couple of autocross tracks would be great imo. They can be difficult to overtake on but technically they're a good challenge and we don't often get to race on different tracks.

Sounds good. I have voted but participation will depend on day/time (weekend evenings best for me probably). Am sure some other AirAttack drivers could be interested too - will post on our forums.

AirAttack and GenR servers all down too and server admin console just gives "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.500control.co.uk". Would be good to get an update on what the problem is and when it will likely be restored.

Quote from THE WIZARD DK :somewhere scawen asked for replays.. i provide some now..

I believe he has everything he needs right now. Replays were provided. If he wants anything else he'll come on here and ask (if he can be bothered to read through this mess of a thread).

Wizard - read the full thread. I provided all the AA logs already. And the Anakin Skywalker server I think was the one set up by Daniel-CRO (as a joke?). Honestly, this continual debate is not actually helping things. It's merely providing the hacker with the attention and importance he craves. The devs are working on a fix and they're the best people to provide that. All the rest is just speculation and gossip.

Also if He's only playing a Demo [AA] server what's it matter? 1 demo "Race" server compared to all the drift and cruise servers, Maybe just put some AI on the server and let him just fool around with them. He will never know! lol

I think you mean that because you don't race there, nobody else should care either?

Last night, Skywalker came onto one of our daily FBM events and ruined the race for a whole load of regular racers, all of whom had pbs of 1:12 and 1:13. We also have a vibrant community of good and fast racers and members who compete in S2 leagues.

Yes, we have our fair share of crashers too. But these demo servers are where the LFS players of tomorrow will come from.

And if this guy can hack our servers then he can hack yours too.

We should all care that this gets fixed.

Wizard, that link to the AA forums you posted ought to come with a health warning - read it at risk of your own sanity I think!

In summary, to save people the bother, I don't think it showed any evidence of hacking and certainly nothing like what we're seeing now with Anakin.

Edit: oh, you've removed it now...

Anakin online now at [AA] Demo Racing in case anyone's interested. For now he seems to be racing fair and not using any hacks but not sure if that will continue once the scheduled event starts at 8pm.
